Do You realize that Frank Zappa is one of the greatest musicians ever?

Go through some of his stuff on youtube. He composed tons of complicated masterpieces.

He was the most twisted and the most talented of his day. A truely misunderstood music genius.

its my opinion, i like him better, it just my style
  • raves     [-] Jerry replied to Guppy, the pudding snake
The music is more my style also. As a musician I am aware of another musician's level of skill and Frank Zappa was a mastermind, much, much more than just a musician, he was a genious composer. I'd rather listen to Iron Maiden Or Judas Priest any day but Zappa was in a league of his own.

    GOOD CALL!!!!
He not only was a fantastic composer/performer but he was very actively trying to make this a better place by sticking up for musicians rights in court and would have done well in politics if he'd lived longer....
    i can see it now:
fantastic composerperformer actively sticking musicians rights court politics lived

Some stuff I like, some I don't, but I'll wager that everyone will be able to take one of his creations and say "Oh yeah, that's it... exactly."

Absolutely! Got into Zappa as a kid! I love everything from the Mothers of Invenetion stuff (Dirty Love, Montana) through the early solo stuff (Apostrophe, Sheik Yerbouti) to the really intricate later work (Shut up & play your guitar.) One of my favorite peices though is "Easter Hay" off of Joe's Garage pts 2 & 3. I love the deep guitar solo!
Besides, he used to hang out in Tucson alot in the 70s & 80s. Gotta give him props for loving our local music! =-D hang tucson alot 70s 80s gotta props loving local music

Joes Garage f-n rules... but the video clip isn't frank zappa... it's his sons band I think. You could easily find some real Zappa on youtube.

If you dig zappa I think you'll live this band... warning; theyr'e addictive
