My parents do. My dad is the Vp of some distribution center in LA. My mom was a Lobbyiest, but she thought she needed to spend more time around the house!!!LOL!!! ;)
  • raves +2   [-] by Sir Jim
Why do you think that is so funny? Mom needs to raise the children, not a teenager or a Nanny.

My husband and I were way over that, with both our incomes combined until I suddenly and unexpectedly became disabled, and now will retire early at 55. My income disappeared, and it will be a few monthes before disability checks will start arriving. We'll still do just fine on that though, especially here in Arkansas, where house prices are still very reasonable, land prices are reasonable, it is a good standard of living.

    People manage.
  • raves +1   [-] by Michelle Princess Pack Leader
I know they manage, it's very hard....I'm having a hard time being a single Mom with 2 sons (one in HS the other in college). This economy sucks and it's not fair, you don't work to save money anymore....you work to keep a roof over your head and survive.....no extras....I'm sick of it!
  • raves +1   [-] by Sir Jim
Yes, people do manage as you well know.
  • raves +1   [-] by Michelle Princess Pack Leader
I know people manage....I manage, on my own paying for myself and my 2 sons, my ex-husband skips off not paying support in 5 years but yet he gets all the extras that we don't and I work a Hell of alot more!
I can't save any money....I literally work to keep us fed and a roof over our heads and I make good money for a single Mom....it sucks...I should be able to save. It is just so hopeless, not having much to look forward to anymore but another day of work.
Venting Jim...sorry...I'm just really ticked off about everthing and now I have to leave for work.
    Have a good day!
  • raves +1   [-] by Sir Jim
Have you gone after the Dad? You know they are putting them in the slammer now days for not supporting their families. Get the sucker!
dad slammer days supporting families sucker
  • raves +1   [-] by Michelle Princess Pack Leader
Yah, working on it....everytime the creep gets a job and he gets nailed for support he quits and moves, he is a real piece of work.
Right now their is a bench warrent for his arrest, but the creep keeps moving around.
