Have You Ever Had a Friend Cross the Line?

Though many of you have had perfectly platonic relationships with friends of the opposite sex, inarguably, there are certain friendships that can leave one person wanting more than the other. While the fear of ruining a friendship can help squash these feelings, sometimes the attraction and connection is so strong that a person can’t help but put themselves out there regardless the consequences. So what I want to know is, have you ever had someone break the just-friends rule with you.

That's what I said the next day when everybody told me about it, luckily we're still friends
  • raves +5   [-] by Michelle Princess Pack Leader
You lucked out that time....just wait till the next time you drink :)
  • raves +1   [-] by Josh
Well I haven't drank in like 3 weeks cuz I got arrested 3 weeks ago and that kind of made me give up drinking, I'm not saying I'm done for good, but just in moderation
  • raves +5   [-] by Michelle Princess Pack Leader
That sucks, I hope you have a lawyer and try to fight it. You are too young to have that dark cloud hanging over you.
I'm honestly lucky that I never got arrested when I was younger.
I would drink to get stone drunk, then I would smoke pot on top of that. It gets scary when you wake up and you don't remember how you got home.
  • raves +1   [-] by Josh
I've done that plenty of times, but the arrest thing isn't that big a deal cuz it was just for underage consumption of alcohol, so I don't need a lawyer and I'm not gonna try to fight it...I have court on monday so I'll let you know how it goes :)

I wish you luck, at least it's not that bad....but it just more shit you have to deal with.
  • raves +1   [-] by Josh
That's true but I was talking to my friends who got the same thing before and they said the worst I'm gonna get is court supervision plus a fine
  • raves +5   [-] by Michelle Princess Pack Leader
Thats not too bad then. Whatever you do, don't screw up supervision.
  • raves +1   [-] by Josh
Yeah I know that's why I gave up drinking as soon as I got arrested so I could get past the temptation that way once I'm on supervision I can do it sober

Answered No, my friends have just stayed friends.

They have never allowed it to become more than that because they want me more as a free therapist that will listen to them whine about how badly their boyfriend is treating them rather than have ME as a boyfriend or husband and be happier. Me? Bitter?

That sucks, you are probably too nice about it and they are taking advantage...toughen up sweetie!

It happened more than once, actually, thankfully they did not end bitterly...I am a very friendly, open guy, and for whatever reason(s) attracts women....I have many women friends with whom I have had completely platonice relationships...However, in the instances when some have crossed the line, i was very clear to them that if I went along with their wishes and desires, the results could be disastrous and would not risk our friendships over sex....I was not in love with them loved them as friends....to my surprise, they went still went along with being friends with benefits, and never caused me any problems as the sexual relationships just faded away slowly...as they met guys they fell in love with...One of them often recalls those days, the other one does not, but the eyes tell me she has not forgotten...we are still friends, today....luckily!

Thats a great quality to have, being open and friendly is something I always look for in a guy.....who wants a crabass?
Sounds like you have been very lucky.....you got the best of both worlds :)

Thanks, yes, I have been very lucky all my life, not just in these sensitive cases....I am who I am and would not change for anything in the world....!! I am comforatble among women, men, youngsters, gays, you name it...lol, i.e., comfortable in my own skin....

Because we are now married. That is the only friendship that has ever crossed the line. And we did talk about it before we crossed it. :-)

Whatever... "just friends" is something women invented to keep 2nd stringers on the bench in case the current quarterback fails to deliver...

No guy, regadless of what you or he says, is ever "just friends".. (EVERY time you turn around he's checking out your assets)...
