    Answered Drums!

As a drummer, I can't take the side of another instrument. However, I do like the bass too. Drums and bass give the song rhythm and depth. Without them, the song is not a song, but rather a flat screech that hurts my ears.

bass song rhythm depth song song flat screech hurts ears
Who's this guy? Only one of the greatest drummers I've ever seen live on stage: Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen of Nightwish. The guy makes Lars Ulrich seem like a slowpoke when playing live.

Yeah the drums are one of my fave instruments but i play guitar soo of course im sidin wit that 1! never heard of nightwish but ill check em out ^^ keep rockin!

You gotta go with what you know and feel comfortable with.
Nightwish is a band from Finland. Their music is sort of heavy metal meets goth meets Finnish tradition. Their former vocalist is a classical trained soprano. =)
Here's a little taste of their sound.
    Keep rocking.

    Answered Guitar!

I would love to stand on a stage and just jam with a band as fast or as slow as I wanted to. The lead guitar would be my choice. guitar love stage jam band fast slow lead guitar choice
  • raves +1   [-] by Riah
same here! im workin on gettin in2 a band soon ^^ gonna b soo much fun!
  • raves +1   [-] by Javison
I was thinking, the feeling of being on stage and playing the music that you love and create would be amazing. To do this while having a big crowd all around loving and feeling your music with high appreciation would be the ultimate high.
  • raves +1   [-] by Riah
it would, i have a friend in a band and he says that when he walks around and someone is wearin his bands tshirt he says its one of the greatest feelings to know someone appreciates the music he makes ^^
  • raves +1   [-] by Javison
Wow. Well Riah, I wish you the same feelings and luck with your hopeful band.

    Answered Guitar!

I guess it depends really, but the guitar has always fascinated me :)
There is no real band without a drummer, unless there's an amazingly exceptional bassist who can cover for the drums (which is highly unlikely), or if the keyboard is used as the drums (which is kinda weird to me). But the keyboard is really cool too, especially in melodic death metal, power metal... In Children of Bodom, their keyboardist is amazing!
Vocals are unnecessary in a band, although they make the music more enjoyable sometimes. Sometimes they make the music less enjoyable, for example Bruce Springsteen. I really like Bruce's music, but sometimes I wish he'd just shut up and let me hear the instrumentals XD. And Children Of Bodom, once again. I think their music is awesome, the guitar and keyboard solos are fucking amazing... but the vocals I don't really like. But on the other hand, HIM has an awesome vocalist with an awesome range. He makes the music a lot more enjoyable :). Led Zeppelin has an amazing vocalist, unparalleled XD... but I'd like Zeppelin just the same without the singing. Wow... I'm saying way too much XD

    Peace!

i'd have 2 agree on ya with the vocalist part, they tend to kill a great song with amazing instrumental use- HIM's singer ville is an amazing singer tho ^^
