Answered No - I will not vote for a big spender that loves pork spending!
I am tied between both no votes. He will have it so there will be nothing left in a paycheck but spare change if we are lucky. He has no idea what he is doing and should not be even considering some of the programs he is. We can not afford any type of tax increase I don't care what division it is on home, payroll, ss. doesn't matter the American people are barely scarpeing by as it is. No way in hell would I ever vote for him. -

Answered Yes- I will vote for Obama I am a middle class American
In 2006 Wayne Allard was named by Time Magazine as one of "America's 5 Worst Senators." That really says it all. His nickname is "The Invisible Man". This guy supports McCain. He can write a letter saying anything he wants, politics are politics. In Washington it's Republicans against Democrats. I'm voting against McCain. I think he is far more dangerous for America. I guess if people are ok with the job Bush is doing and you want someone to continue screwing us in the ass, than so be it. The fact is, not much is going to change with either candidate for some time. There is a serious mess to clean up. The truth is, we are taking a serious gamble with both of them. I'm rolling the dice for Obama, only because I have more faith in the people that he will appoint to his cabinet. I'm an independent that leans Democrat because I'm sick of the Republicans that legislate morality and dismantle the constitution (as of late). Forbes Magazine did a breakdown of the most prosperous presidents dating back to Truman. They looked at the numbers, not popularity. Clinton was number one, Lyndon Johnson was two , Kennedy Three and Reagan four. I am more in line with the centrist Democrats and fiscal responsibility. Again, Obama has a better pool to choose from for cabinet members. -
raves +4 Jul 31, 2008 12:28AM GMT (edited)In fact I did read the entire two pages. Allard is a Republican who supports McCain. Of Course he is going to be biased. I would say the same thing about another politician supporting Obama. A biased opinion won't change my vote. Letters like these try to bamboozle readers with "facts" and figures, yet they don't really offer exact details of what these campaign proposals are. The question you posed was "Will you vote for Obama after you read this"? My answer was just that and why. It seems like you are dismissing me as someone who "drank the Kool Aid" and isn't an educated voter. I am a Hillary supporter, who was really bummed when she wasn't the presumptive nominee. I love both of the Clinton's. I did over a year of Volunteer work for her husband. McCain is nothing like them. Do I think Obama will be as good a president as Clinton, NO WAY. Just better than McCain.

We can't keep borrowing money to pay our debts. We have to start making money, even if we have to take more taxes and spend less until we pay up. They make us do it, they should do it too. -

I had no intention of voting for him before I read that, but this will certainly be another factor for me. He is very dangerous to this country and I"m hoping that people will wake up before it's too late. He is dividing the people instead of bringing them together and it will only get worse if he is elected. -

I would never vote for him. He has done nothing to deserve being President of our country. Yes he did work for a short time in the streets of chicago but big deal I've done more than that. His voting record stinks and honestly I don't know what else he has done. He stands for change but so does Mccain and so did Hillary and they both are more qualified to be President than this Rock Star. Lets face it if it wasn't for oprah he would never have goten this far. Personally I don't think he can ever live up to the hype surrounding him. Oh and as a person who wants to bring people together I think he has done more to divide this country than anyone in recent history. -
raves +5 Jul 30, 2008 09:46PM GMTand do you dismiss anything by any republican? - how narrow and obtuse - please read the poll it helps understanding it is an inside letter from one senator Wayne Allard regarding Fiscal Responsibility - then you will have a comment that would contribute to the poll?

raves +2 Jul 31, 2008 02:56AM GMTI read it. Big deal. I dismiss a lot of Democrat nonsense, too. I lean more toward the Libertarian party ideals, but I am so sick of "the shrub" that I will vote Democrat this year. McBush brings less to the table than Obama. As for narrow and obtuse you need look no further than your fearless leader and the so called "Christian" right who helped put him in office. As for Allard's paper it is nothing but words and, to quote Jebrel, "It's a point of view with no rebuttal in place!"

Answered Undecided
Still not quite sure because no matter what a ***hat Obama is..... open borders socialist McCain is not a heck of a lot better.
I wish there was someone who was at least marginally competent running for the Presidency this election:(
Both are wealthy and separated from reality - have no idea what effectes their disastrous programs will have on the bulk of the nations people.
Nor do they much care for that matter or Juan McCain would never have joined with Ted Drunkennedy to try and foist immigration "reform" on us.
DO NOT doubt that once he gets elected (if he does) that he will make another attempt at opening the floodgates to the border with Mexico.
And probably will want to normalize relations with his old buddies back in the camps in North Korea. He did eat at the commandants table, after all. -
