What do you think should happen to the drunk driver that killed famous film directory Robert (Bob) Clark?
Famous film directory Bob Clark and his 22 year old son were killed in the car accident caused by drunk alien driver Hector Velazquez-Nava.Hector, who had about 3 times the legal amount of BAC, with his female passenger were riding in a GMC Yukon at the accident and walked away with only minor injuries.
Currently, there are flamings from different officials to treat this case with different methods.
Do you think officials should treat this as an alien case and deport Velazquez-Nava, or have him serve sentence as any other U.S. citizen?

Well first off if he is illagel than he needs to be deported. But make him server time here in the states before you deport him. Let Roberts faimly see justice. Let them see that the guy is getting what he deserves. Cause if you send him back to his country what makes you think they are going to punish him. We have no idea what they are going to do to him. -

Serve the sentence - however, I don't feel that a DUI who kills someone should ever walk away with just manslaughter. It should be 1st Degree Homicide - after all - you KNOW the possibility the moment you choose to drink and get behind the wheel of your car. EVERYONE does. So serve the sentence he should, but it should be a full murder charge not the lesser charge of manslaughter and there should be NO plea bargaining it down. Ya - I know - hard stand, but it's my opinion. -

The entire sentence should be served with the coffins (BOTH) in his cell with him. Before he is deported, brand him somewhere obvious to make sure if he is ever seen again, people will know what he did. Okay put him under sedation while we do it. BUT DO IT! -

Regardless of who was killed (of course knowing the victim makes a person more emotionally bias)
That involuntary Man Slaughter and DUI... booo on him... he needs to be serving his sentence and be dealt with accordingly -

I am not sure where you are going with that statement. Bob Clark, one of the men killed, was the director of the very popular movie A Christmas Story. I found it very sad that a drunk driver killed the creator of a very popular piece of Americana.
Where did I say I felt pity for the driver, Velazquez-Nava? I don't think there is enough we do to discourage impaired driving. I am unsure what the punishment should be or what we need to do to prevent more tragedies. -
I just Googled the newspaper story and sent it to my daughter in Istanbul. SO tragic. We just had our second DUI that killed someone by an ILA in OKC this year.
