Should I get a motorcycle?

So, it takes me an hour to get to work and then another hour to get back home. I always see these bikers flying by...and I wish it was me. I've been wanting a bike for a while now...but I'd like to know the pros and cons.

Answered Yes. Motorcycles are a great way of commuting.

Been riding since I was 13 and I am slightly older now. Well, my mind set is that of a teenager. Been riding for 43 years now. Took a slight break a few years ago and did NOT like being without a scooter. Have an 03 Softail Deuce and and 06 Sportster 1200 Custom. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL ! If you have not already taken the Motorcycle Safety course, put that first on your list. Hard lesson learned, on a bike, you NEVER have the right of way and folks will run over you ! The "CONS", cold in the winter and you get soaked when it rains if you are not "suited" up properly.

Ride safely and watch your mirrors. People will not see you! Look out for debris . All kinds of junk in the freeway.

I ride motorcycles since nearly 40 years. The feeling of good vibrations is the same, like the first day. This will be an experience, especially on a Harley.

Answered No. Motorcycles are way too dangerous.

If you think it takes long now, think about those who have been badly injured on them. Even with a helmet.
And what about bad weather, slippery roads. The weather can turn bad during the workday; you can't exactly pull up the ragtop on one of those things!

You will be even more HOTTER on a bike! Go for it but let me ride on the back so I can spoon you ;)

Ha ha ha...is that the only way I can get you to spoon me?

And I bet you'll only spoon me because you'll be scared of falling off.

    You're silly!

    just get fast car....
  • raves +1   [-] by Piglet
Ok... What difference does it make if you're driving a sports car or a minivan when all of traffic is going 20 mph? NONE!

With a bike...you can go through traffic much faster than any sports car.

ummm what if its raining....or very hot...lol
u dont wanna end up like me......

a car makes u look as good as a motor cycle AND if u crash its safer....

i have been riding now for 35 years and i love it. they are not dangerous like people think. the danger is the idiot's that dont look out for motorcycles. we also have a right to be on the road. it nice on two wheel's and not being couped up in a car all the time. and yes i have had my share of this idiot's. i have been hit a few time's and knocked down more then once. thank god nothing to bad. and it's alway's the first thing out of their mouth's is i did not see you. you have to aware of your srounding's when you ride. i still ride every day. and will till i can't do it no more. so if you really want one get it. but buy a real motorcycle the only way to go is a (harley.} i see a lot of women riding harley's. good luck

Answered No. Motorcycles are way too dangerous.

After a good friend of mine got rear ended in his car, I would say it's way too dangerous to be riding a bike. You are probably a good driver, but other people may not be and that's where the risk comes in.
