Should I get a motorcycle?
So, it takes me an hour to get to work and then another hour to get back home. I always see these bikers flying by...and I wish it was me. I've been wanting a bike for a while now...but I'd like to know the pros and cons.-
Answered No. Motorcycles are way too dangerous.
If you think it takes long now, think about those who have been badly injured on them. Even with a helmet.
And what about bad weather, slippery roads. The weather can turn bad during the workday; you can't exactly pull up the ragtop on one of those things! -
Answered Yes. Motorcycles are a great way of commuting.
Been riding since I was 13 and I am slightly older now. Well, my mind set is that of a teenager. Been riding for 43 years now. Took a slight break a few years ago and did NOT like being without a scooter. Have an 03 Softail Deuce and and 06 Sportster 1200 Custom. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL ! If you have not already taken the Motorcycle Safety course, put that first on your list. Hard lesson learned, on a bike, you NEVER have the right of way and folks will run over you ! The "CONS", cold in the winter and you get soaked when it rains if you are not "suited" up properly. -

i have been riding now for 35 years and i love it. they are not dangerous like people think. the danger is the idiot's that dont look out for motorcycles. we also have a right to be on the road. it nice on two wheel's and not being couped up in a car all the time. and yes i have had my share of this idiot's. i have been hit a few time's and knocked down more then once. thank god nothing to bad. and it's alway's the first thing out of their mouth's is i did not see you. you have to aware of your srounding's when you ride. i still ride every day. and will till i can't do it no more. so if you really want one get it. but buy a real motorcycle the only way to go is a (harley.} i see a lot of women riding harley's. good luck
