raves +5 Aug 16, 2008 09:09PM GMT (edited)As a teenager (in the 80s) I worked Customer Service at a store that sold gas grills. I guess they were basically a "new craze" back then. It seemed like everyone was buying them and about half of them would come back because something went wrong and the grill would catch fire from the propane tank. Needless to say, I have never trusted gas grills.

I've noticed alot of ppl don't wait till the lighting flui stuff burns off enough and the food tastes like it if you use the charcoal.....funny how I never noticed till we got the gas one, then the lack of gasoline flavor was a whole new experience....wouldn't go back now. The charcoal is a good flavor but don't miss the starter fluid taste.
