    My old charcoal grill is ruined, so my next one will be gas, it will
    take a while to collect money to buy it, those are expensive up here, as
    every thing is, exept the wages of the people.........................

    Unless it's hamburgers or steak, which need direct heat, I like charcoal and wood. I'm smoking some salmon as I'm typing this. :)

    Charcoal has the best flavor and it's easier to control the tempature. But I do use gas sometimes as it can be quicker and convenient.

    I always think that the gas is going to blow up, I think it taste better too, but I have a gas grill.

    As a teenager (in the 80s) I worked Customer Service at a store that sold gas grills. I guess they were basically a "new craze" back then. It seemed like everyone was buying them and about half of them would come back because something went wrong and the grill would catch fire from the propane tank. Needless to say, I have never trusted gas grills.

    whoa, yeah, I can't even watch when people turn them on just for the fact that I think its going to blow. I'm usually not even around when people turn them on.

    I've noticed alot of ppl don't wait till the lighting flui stuff burns off enough and the food tastes like it if you use the charcoal.....funny how I never noticed till we got the gas one, then the lack of gasoline flavor was a whole new experience....wouldn't go back now. The charcoal is a good flavor but don't miss the starter fluid taste.

    tastewise I way prefer charcoal, convenience wise I prefer gas. I wish they would ome up with chips for the gas grill that would give it the charcoal taste like real charcoal. I also prefer hickory chips..... ome chips gas grill charcoal taste real charcoal hickory chips
