What do you think of the "new and hip" shutter glasses?

So it turns out that we have to blame Kanye West for introducing them to today's youth. Everyone now wants them because they are cool.

Personally, I think they look extremely retarded. But hey, that's just me. It makes me say to myself "wow...anything can be popular now. As long as the majority of teens/celebrities wear it."

I'll put it in another way: I think of shutter glasses the same way I think of that hairstyle most girls have...with their bangs clipped over and it makes a ball-ish looking thing on the top of your head... e__e...what's it called..

... they are neither "new" nor "hip." They look like something Elton John --whose music did absolutely nothing for me in the 1970s and does even less for me now-- would have worn back in his heyday.
