Black people for Obama..... Does that make them racist?
I have, on numerous occasions, been called a racist for not supporting Obama. So using the same logic, does that make black Obama supporters racist?-

I'd say it makes them misguided. If they are voting for him strictly because he's black it kind of sad that they are so in need to have black president that they are willing to vote for anyone. I find it much more important that the person, whether black white man or woman, is qualified for the job. I think in most cases it's not racism that makes them pull the lever but it is about race. -

why is it ok to vote for a candidate because he is black, but racist if you vote for one because he is white. I see alot of racism and the majority is blacks against whites. People take reverse discrimination like it is a joke. that blacks don't do it, but that is so wrong it exists every day in every corner of this nation.Obama's wife wrote a 256 page thesis in college on the effect of the black man dealing with white america. a "Look how terrible those white people are to us black folks" paper or should i say book. -

No,it doesn't,not all black people are going to vote for obama, and same with whites, they will both look at the facts, and choose the best candidates based on there speeches, not there color, some people are just ignorant, and will not even watch the political candidates speak, and choose whoever they think look better, and thats stupid, and not helping the world at all. -

I do not believe that all black Obama supporters are racist nor do I believe that all white McCain supporters are racist.

Perhaps some vote just because he's half black, but I think if a black person voted for him they would automatically be a racist. Strangly enough, some people are voting for him because they agree with his stance, and/or in general support the democratic party. So perhaps some are just voting for him because of his skin colour, but for the most part I doubt they are. -
raves +1 Sep 02, 2008 09:08PM GMTWhat is his stance? I was all enthused about obama at first. He talked all bubbly and positive. then after a few speeches i had to ask my self just what the heck he was saying. The closer i examined obama and clinton the more i realized how fake he really is. when he did talk about the issues he never came up with one original idea. he stole them all from the clintons. His CHANGE platform was bill's campain slogan. In fact, i doubt he would have stayed in the running If Oprah didn't tell them to vote for him. Well, gee now oprah must be right, she is never wrong. he had her fooled too. That is why this democrat is proudly voting McCain/Palin. Besides he is almost like a democrat anyways.

I said it's not racist for a person to vote for a candidate with the same skin colour, unless that's the only reason they're voting for them. I merely said there's more than that on most voters minds.

What happened to unity and equality? If there where white only groups as there are black only groups the black community would sue for access and have many times. Racism has no color! What ever happed to this idea?
