Answered yes and why....

Because i find there is no legitamite reason not to make it legal. People talk about how it'd be ruining the sanctity of marriage, but lets be honest with ourselves, marriage nowadays has no sanctity. So wtf?!? Make it legal already!!!

I think marriage should be about LOVE not gender!! And what the hell should it matter to people who are straight?? We're not forcing THEM to marry the same gender! We leave their life alone and they leave ours alone and that is that dammit!

Yes, and Hell Yes its not you to say weather I can marry a Man or another girl. It's what I want and what he wants, not you or anyone has the right to tell me I can not get married if I'm gay or lesbian. It's up to each of them selves. If you don't want to see two men kiss or two women kiss stay out of the gay neighborhoods. Plain and simple they want happiness just as you have. I am married to my partner of 18 years on June 19, 2008 in San Diego California. And Jesus and God didn't open up the skies and send a lighting bolt down to kill us we were in the outside garden to. So, I gather He's okay with it! jesus god open skies send lighting bolt kill garden gather

Everywhere that marriage is legal! Marriage should not be a privilege for some of us, it should be a right for all of us -- it is certainly "expected" of most of us... We should not be denied the right to marry the person of our choice merely because that person is of our same gender. The privileges of marriage should be obtainable by all of us, if we want them.

    Answered no and why...

what is Gay Marriage? If we allow gays to marry, can we allow people to marry sheep, ants, wasp, elephants or may adult marry children?

Marriage has nothing to do with what people want.

Marriage is to indicate to civilized society that two people have chosen to pro-create to create childrens. Gays Or Faggots are not capable.
  • raves +1   [-] JnMO replied to I Saw The Light
How can you see the light when you have a bag over your head?

Can the sheep, ants, wasp, or elephants give consent in this marriage? No, they cannot! Can an adult marry a child? Again, is the child mature enough to grant consent? No the child isn't!

Allowing gays to marry creates a society that embraces a union given in love.

You claim, "Marriage is to indicate to civilized society that two people have chosen to pro-create to create children." What about heterosexuals who are incapable to pro-creating? Are you wanting to deny them the right to marry? What about couples who have chosen not to pro-create? Will you deny them the right to have children?

Please show me on any marriage certificate where it states "in order for this marriage to be valid, please indicate when and how many children will be born?" It isn't a prerequisite for marriage!
  • raves     [-] I Saw The Light replied to JnMO
What do you mean by heterosexuals who are incapable of pro-creating? Do you mean they do not have Genitals?

Anybody can marry without a certificate or a church service, it's called "Common Law Marriage"

Marriage is not the ceremony or the piece of paper but, how two people treat each other. Wills can be made and most insurance laws allow for the beneficiary to be who ever you want.

People who die are the only people, who should be exempt from a payback child care law for dead beat parents, which will greatly reduce the number of children who are up for adoption. Of course, there are foreign countries that would still adopt out children. But the real responsibility lies on society to make people who have children to take care of them or lose the right to have children.

The most evil thing that could ever happen is two people not being able to get married when they want in public? or two people irresponsibly having sex and having no intentions of taking care of child they produce.

I would guess that the only people lower than forcing a church to marry people that the church doesn't want to marry together, is those two people who do not want to take of their child after they create it.
  • raves +1   [-] JnMO replied to I Saw The Light
    Are you stupid?

There are many couples who are unable to conceive therefore they are unable to marry. It has nothing to do with genitals! You initial comment stated, "Marriage is to indicate to (a) civilized society that two people have chosen to pro-create to create children(s)" What about all those people who are incapable, unable to have children? Should they not be allowed to marry? What about couples who decide not to have children? Do oppose that they be allowed to marry?

As far as common law marriage, it is not recognized in the majority of states between heterosexuals. Do you really believe that the federal or state governements will recognize it for homosexual couples? If you do, I have a nice bridge to sell you in New York, excellent views!
  • raves +1   [-] I Saw The Light replied to JnMO
Apparently, you need to read it again, let it soak it through your skull.

I did not say whose marriage, I was opposed to and you are lying through your teeth about common law marriage. Oh the poor homos, the federal government doesn't recognized them.

Most intelligent people spend most of their time trying not to be recognized by the federal government.
  • raves     [-] JnMO replied to I Saw The Light
You need to check out facts. Approximately nine states & the Dist. of Columbia (Washington DC) recognize common law marriage. Most states either never recognized it or have stopped. Do a little research and you will find that this is not a lie (you can apologize later).

Again, married people do want the recognition from the Federal Government, without it, they would be subject to higher taxes. You know, the tax break married couples receive and not couples that just live together!
  • raves +1   [-] Say Say! <3 replied to I Saw The Light
Thats not true. Sperm donors are possible. Gay people should be able to marry. So should "faggots" which is a huge insult to some of us.

some people think that being gay is against the bible but i don't think thats true. even thought they may like the same sex doesn't mean that theres something wronge with them. god made people right? so if god made people that means he mad every single person weather there gay or not. gay people are just like you they have jobs, and they have gf and bf. i don't see why people have gay people and make fun of them they have feelings to

It's legal where I live (Belgium) and I think it's a good thing. If two persons loving eachother wants to get married I think that should be possible.

    Answered yes and why....

Love is love. Why the hell does anyone else care what's going on in someone else's bedroom? The time and effort we put toward keeping people from getting married could be put into something more productive like; finding alternative energies, rebuilding New Orleans and all the other places still trying to put themselves back together from Katrina and the recent batch of storms, improving schools, fixing the economy, and a plethora of other things.
