NEVER, Being their friend would imply that you accept and approve of their behavior.

    Answered It all depends.

I would try, but it would definitely depend! A one-time thing, I would probably stick. A habit, I would probably walk. Either way, I would push for outside help...

No man should ever harm a woman, it is just uncalled for.

Someone who would hurt anyone else... is not someone I would want to be friends with.

I have a hard time being simply civil to my friends' boyfriend because he beats her. I mean, I can't make them break up, but that doesn't mean I have to be nice by any means.

    Answered No.

More than likely I'd beat the shit out of him just to see if he liked it.
  • raves +1   [-] by infinityorzero

    Answered No.

I want an option for a "No, but I would advise them to seek counseling"-type answer.

When a man hits a woman, I intervene to keep it from happening again. If it were a friend, I would do the same.

If it was a friend, I suppose I would try to show some amount of compassion if they were sincerely pursuing the changes necessary for them to possibly be with their wife again. But he wouldn't be my friend. He would be a person I was trying to help. And the wife's safety and security would be the top priority.

    Answered It all depends.

It all depends on if they survive after I beat the crap out of them.
Then, if they survive that, the cops could get involved.
Either way, he/she'd get set straight.

I don't care how good of a friend they are, if they beat someone like that, I'll show them what it feels like.
Anything that happens after is entirely unforseeable.

It's contradictory, I know. But that's how much it angers me.

Answered No. I would not want to be involved with anyone like that.

As a matter of fact, I have been in this very situation before. The last time an incident occured I stepped up to him myself and told him if he thought he had small enough nuts to beat a woman, then he should try me out. Of course he would not hit me because he knows the consequences of doing so. I think ANY spouse or significant other who beats on their "loved-one" should get a beating of a lifetime. Kenpo sticks are great to have around. I actually have some if anyone needs one. lol!
  • raves +1   [-] by Early

    Answered No.

This kind of person needs serious help. His respect for himself is even gone. The Lord says love your spouse as you love your own body. This kind of person does not have a clue, what love is, he only knows what controling is, and that is not good. So why hang out with the man, even though it is his personal bussiness. That bussiness is bad bussiness. I learned by my own life experience, and I also learned that I had to love, and respect myself. No man should be allowed to take any woman through , that! On the real.
  • raves +1   [-] by max

    Answered It all depends.

Any man who hits a woman is not a man. I was raised to respect women and not to hit a woman. I think any man who beats his wife is a coward.
  • raves +1   [-] by jiggy

    Answered Yes

As long as he understood that I only beat him for his own good.

There is one guy I know who I am actually suspicious of. Not so much his wife as she is his girlfriend, but whatever. I don't associate myself with him anymore.

in this age where we are so enlightened, why would a women stay with a man who beats her? She should leave- but for some reason "love" holds them there. My sister stayed with a man for years, and I told her he was unwelcome in my home. She choose to stay with him and I did not see her until she finally left him.
