Politics - United States
The economy is a wreck. In any other election cycle, the challenger (Obama) would be double digits ahead in polls. . . yet the race is close. Is race really an issue here?
Just a puzzler to consider: Historically, the incumbant party would be struggling with the economic bad news, yet the Republicans are staying neck and neck: the only difference from past cycles is Obama's ethnicity. Does racism still run that deep in the US?-

I dont think the polls are in any way accurately showing the true push twords Obama. You cant pass a news clip on the street, see a celeb gathering, or listen to even some republicans in congress without seeing the strong support for the democratic party this year after 8 nasty long years of Bush. If Obama doesnt win by a landslide I will have zero doubt in my mind that something at the voting booths is rigged and god forbid mccain would somehow come out ahead.... there will be a summer from hell to pay for it because america will rise up against the deceite.
Then again.... that may be exactly where we are headed according to some of the mathmatic 'predictor' programs on the net that run on keyword searches. Just depends..
Answered No, it is not race, it is (please add your response)
It's the fact that Obama wants to raise taxes and increase the size of government while the economy is down.
