Bill Heard Closing Local Chevrolet Dealerships: Are you worried about our economy?

Bill Heard Enterprises Inc. will close down its 13 auto dealers on Friday, he has just reported. The company was founded in 1919 and has been successful ever since. He is closing down thanks to the suffering economy, less demand for new cars and GMAC recently eliminated Bill Heard’s credit for inventory. Bill Heard also faced a $50 million deceptive advertising lawsuit and was bombarded with a litany of complaints from consumers in the states where it operated. The shutdown will mean the loss of about 2,700 jobs nationwide.

Answered Yes. We are in crisis

Yes it is absolutely a crisis, maybe not full blown but well on our way to financial shutdown. Its starting to effect more and more people as the domino effect continues. And the auto industry was one of the first ones to feel the impact of this, starting a few years ago. Ill try to break it down the best i can. Using the equal lending opportunity and coupling it with affirmative action, democrats made lending companies give high risk loans in low income slums knowing that those people could not pay it back. (for houses, cars, college, and whatever else) The lenders were counting on the housing market, but as that started to fail because so many people had gotten homes that they couldn't afford, the lenders could no longer rely on the house if they didn't pay the loan because the house was worth less than the loan given. See the dilemma. Not to mention the morons that were stating to the owners of the lending companies that they were making record profits so then they would get a substantial bonus every quarter. When really they were having record losses! losers!! And what about all the money given to obamas campaign from fannie and freddie, and the sum they paid obama and 5 others to keep his mouth shut about some hush-hush things..... now.....we...the hard working b...

Answered No. Everything will go back to normal after the elections

our economy is suffering from the distinct possibility that a Carter clone (Obama) will win the election and push socialist economic policies that will cause a repeat of the Carter double digit inflation. It is also suffering from the socialist policies put in place by Clinton (the push for lending organizations to use a no down payment, no credit, no problem approach to lending. Thousands of suckers moved into houses they couldn't afford, thinking that the variable rate mortgage was a God send instead of one of Satan's lies. The housing meltdown is waking voters to the disaster caused by socialist policies and will cause Obama to do a Hillary and wonder how his media inflated lead left him short of electoral votes needed to become President.

Every thing is closing and where will are jobs be not here and who is going to be buying any thing No one so every one will hurt It is bad and some times i wonder why am I going to college
  • raves +1   [-] Citizen Phil replied to Brenda
I hope that you are going to college to help you learn how to handle major challenges. College teaches few facts that you will need later and mainly teaches you how to do research and how to learn. A few years from now you will be rewarded for the long hours of study you do now. If you drop out of college you will be rewarded with a life of wondering where the next month's rent payment is coming from.

Obama and his cult followers (Democrats) are the heart of this problem. Giving money to folks who don't qualify for loans and expecting them to pay a mortgage when they can't even pay for a one bedroom roach infested apartment is crazy. Maybe Obama can organize this homeless community and fix their problems like he did those slums in Chicago...oops..I forgot..the Obama actually did not fix any of the problems he just pretended he did...he pretends a lot. He even pretends to be President on the Obama One jet in his leather swivel captain's chair embrodiered with the word "President".

Furthermore, we can thank the Republicans, which includes the Republican dominated Congress of Clinton's time. If anything, what happened to oversight, accountability, and just plain rules for mortgage related firms? Bush made things worse. So, here we are just waiting for the other economic shoe to fall before we know how bad will they do it to us again. We can only hope that Obama will stop the tide going in the wrong direction and begin to correct our economy and country. As far as the Republican charges and fabrications, I voted Republican once and vowed never to make that mistake again!
  • raves     [-] sdeakins replied to Ken
Blah..blah...blah..blah.....O... will stop the problem by making it worse. And by voting for Obama you are not making a mistake? Wind blows grass grows.

Anyone who thinks that we are not in a crisis is not paying attention!
The Government will bail out the banks, but we the tax payers are the ones that
will pay the bill and the CEO's of the failed banks walk away with millions in retirement packages. So who do you think wins with this one?

Fannie and Fredie were giving donations to a lot of those who should have been keeping an eye on things this should not have been legal to begin with. Obama recived over $126,000 from them putting him at the top but there's nothing new about him getting money from unscrupolous donors such as Resko and in return writing letters of support to help them get government contracts. Obama's relationship with Resko needs to be investgagted now not after the elections. Obama is not going to bring about any change because he owes too many so much. McCain is in a position to do what he wants because he has his own funds and at his age should be thining of history and his legacy. hopefully he will become a real maverick and turn Washington upside down or at least keep a check on Congress to keep it in line. But no matter who wins the election we are in for a rough ride and there is no way to do half of what is being promsed without raising taxes in some way. But I don't think we wil hear either candidate admit this.

Wow bad news. There is some kind of a game being played. Perhaps the US wants a failing economy in order to get out of debt with China and Russia at the expense of it's taxpayers?
