When you are attending a live performance and you need to go to the loo or get a drink. Which do you do?
-
Answered just leave and take care of business
Most of the concerts I go to don't have an intermission. Closest thing is if there is an opening act, but usually, when there is, we tailgate in the parking lot during the opener. Once inside, it's usually about a 2 hour straight set, so if I need to take a leak or get a beer, I just do it. -
Same no intermissions, and always party in the parking area but get in for the opening act..You never know what you might miss everyone has started out as an opening act! I wait for the performance or tune to end and make a dash.,before another starts..likewise coming back.. respect the performer is the way we old hippies are.

Ya I know they may not, but I am usually very close. I think its a respect thing for me
I also don't want to interupt anyone's expierence. Even though the performer may not notice.
This all comes from a recent concert when a couple of people in the middle of a row repeatadly popped in and out of the row and spilt wine on someone and thought it was hilarious.
I finally said make this your last interuption. The people around us had things to say to to them as well. Their reason? ya well its her 21st b'day. I told them ya well its my 67th and your are annoying the hell out of me. This all ended when no one would move for them and the guys behind 'accidently' spilled beer on them.
I just thought it could have been avoided, if they were actually there for the music. -
Answered wait for set to end
depends on the location.
stadium or arena? just leave -- avoid the lines at intermission!
theater? wait for set or act to end, if possible.
bar or club? wait for set to end, if possible.
be considerate. try not to disurb other patrons, but don't embarrass yourself... -
Answered wait for set to end
ideally I want to wait for the set to end but sometimes...I will sneak out after the end of a tune. I have noticed in the past few years people leaving during a performance I find that completely insulting to the artist, so I thought I would whine about it here..
