I believe that "smart" is not an attainable position or level, I believe that "smart" is more like an ever revolving process. The truly smart person realizes that they are not as smart as they'd like to think they are, and that they'll never truly know as much as they'd like to know. There are several different kinds of knowledge/ classifications of "smart" in the world; there is: book knowledge, common sense knowledge, street knowledge, emotional knowledge, general knowledge, etc... many people (myself included, specialize in one or two types of knowledge but are left only testing the waters where the others are concerned.)
I will ever be climbing the mountain of knowledge that the world has placed before me, and if I ever reach the peak it will only be to realize that what I thought was a mountain was actually just a foothill. -
