Would your political views change if you became part of the population that made $250,000 a year? The Boyfriend said he might start to lean more to the right if he did. What about you?

Answered No way. Politics isn't just about money
There are other aspects of politics that are equally important. Being a pre-med student, I know one day I'll have plenty of money, but money doesn't buy happiness and it shouldn't be the basis of a political party change. -

I wouldn't change my political views. My concerns would be different & I 'd probably think differently on tax issues but that's not what it's all about. It's about education & welfare & housing & defense & healthcare & immigration & the environment, etc. Politics and ideologies shouldn't be just about money no matter which way you lean. -

Obama will take your money regardless of you income! The taxing may not be direct but it will be a TAX on every soul!
When you PUNISH the producer, they produce LESS! Reward Producers and they Produce MORE!
Obama has stated he will PUNISH us all! (Ex. He praised $4.00 a gallon for gas, just was concerned the price increased so quickly!)

Thats the sad part, a lot of people would start to lean to the right if they made more money. There is a Bob Dylan quote I absolutely love...
"All this talk about equality. The only thing people really have in common is that they are all going to die."
My ex's stepfather made 3-4 million a MONTH at the boom of his business, my ex's mother destroyed the mans business and took everything he had left in her greed. My stepfather made very good money at one point, we didn't want for anything, and right now I'm part of good ol' middle class America. I don't begrudge the wealthy their riches because I know I work hard for the money *I* make. -

Why is it that Obama is taxing the over 250,000 group. Most of them went to school, earned their degree, worked hard for their present job and Obama wants to penilize them because of it. Take their hard earned money and give it to some moron who is to lazy to work for themselves. A doctor spends over $1,000,000 getting through medical school and has to pay the loans back. It usually take 5-10 years. And you tell me you want to tax him because he had the right stuff to make it through and become a professional. This is bordering on communism, definitely socialism. Wake up people, who will they come for next. -

life itself isnt about money...... thats why lottery winners have an inordinant degree of depression issues.
ps.. I grew up in a wealthy household with a million dollar home, my parents were very unhappy and both wound up marrying 4 times each... my husband and I are middle class and very happy and have been married 15 years to each other. Says alot IMO having experinced both sides of the fence.

Politics aren't supposed to be about money at all. Politics are supposed to be about ideals for the betterment of the nation as a whole.
