He couldn't figure McCain last night, he was all over the stage, making wierd comments, looking lost!

This set up kinda sucked to me. The questions could have been better and more direct. There was not really enough time to come back with responses to the others responses. I did not like the set up at all. Tom tried to keep them on time and in line with the questions but it did not go so well.

I agree I thought with the town hall set up that there would be more interaction with the people there.

people not important....we saw that during Katrina

Yes we did. I just thought it could have been a really interesting debate if the people had really been involved instead of asking a question and then being told they had to be quiet

I thought he certainly wasn't intimidated by the candidates. He had to scold them for going over their time limit. I like him a lot.

Only got to listen to a little bit of it on the radio while driving home. He didn't sound too happy with the debators at the time though, and that was near the beginning. OO

This debate was a boring waste of time. None of the questions many of us wanted answered were even asked. The questions did nothing but elicit the same information you can hear at any campaign rally. We learned nothing new.

He did get stepped on a little bit, but I kind of thought it was funny to watch both candidates walk all over him. Nothin against Brokaw, but get over it. This isn't about the ego of the moderator.

Although it only ran over a few minutes - I wonder how many questions weren't addressed. The town hall meeting venue didn't allow for rebuttal time - they should have foreseen problems with that. I had to laugh when, at the end, both candidates stood in front of the teleprompter and poor Brokaw couldn't read his lines!

No the Rules did not seem to be followed. But understandable.

He created a lousy debate with the boring non conflicting questions he choose.

He seemed kind of rude to me tonight.

I think because they did not play fair with rules that were set up

It also seemed like neither was willing to really speak to the American public. Surely each must have some new ideas about the economic mess and how to fix it. Where is the leadership they both claim to have?

In addiiton, Tom Brokaw was not suited for the job. Don't we miss Tim Russert?

This debate was so dry that even SNL will have a tough time with it.

Both candidates repeated some of the same catch phrases and words over and over again. SNL's got plenty of material...All I gotta say is.."my friends"...lol.
