Not so much. I've had three big operations to my stomach and I survived. However I'd prefer it if that's enough...

You only have two choices, surgery or live with a serious problem. I go for surgery as soon as it is possible if it is elective and if an emergency there is no choice.

Been operated on a few times and was never worried. Always looked at it this way,
I'll have pain for a little while, but once that pain passes I'll have nothing to worry about.

Very afraid, I've been lucky so far... the only "surgery" I've had was getting 2 widsom teeth out, which people argue isn't actually surgery. Actual surgery scares me - hospitals in general creep me out

..infact if your own doctor really cares for you, would suggest the same and leave a complete trust up to you.

I am not afraid of necessary surgery, for it is often better than the alternative. It always entails risk and should not be undertaken unnecessarily.

not at all afraid,, Iv had many surgeries and frankly I think the sleep medicine they give you is just lovely hahaha... one minute wide awake the next you feel a little woozy and zonk... next thing ya know your waking up and they are giving you nice pain meds via that same IV so not sticks or pain and so long as your not a 'tough guy' about everything you can be sure your pain is well managed.... so to me theres nothing to be afraid of.

I've had a couple of surgeries. I had reconstructive AC surgery on my shoulder, I tore two ligaments in my shoulder so now I have two screws and a cadaver tendon in there. They put you to sleep most of the time anyways so it's not like you even know what is going on and they give you the good stuff afterwards ;-)
