Do you think Senator Obama would be more accepted if his name was Bill Jones or Bob Brown and was white?

Answered NO, It wouldn't matter. America is color blind
Come on, 95 percent of the black community is voting for Obama, majority of the blacks are voting based on his color alone. His color is his advantage in this race, if he was 100% white he would not have good numbers like he has now. As far as his name, I think that it isnt that much of a factor in this race. -

No, it wouldn't matter.
I believe racism does exist in this country, so it's not color blind as your first option states.
I believe though that the problem with Obama isn't that he's too brown, the problem is that he's too green. -

With his connections and pastors if he was white he wouldn't get in the race. His pastor advocates "black power" it is the same as KKK only for blacks. "If God if not with blacks, he is against us" - Jeremiah Wright. President from KKK? I don't think so. America is not color blind. Barack Hussein Obama is where he is because of his skin color. -

If anyone has half a brain, and I certainly have one, names have a lot to do with it.
Names are symbolic in wealth. Rockefeller, Gates, Buffet. Names shouldn't mean anything but unfortunately they do. People always are changing their names for appeal. For example, I wonder who would have sold more records, John Deuschendorf or John Denver? -

You guys, I know of democrats who admit they wont vote for him because they do not want a black president. You can't honestly say that race is not a factor to many people. It is. That's the ugly truth. -

To a certain degree these things make a difference. There are ignorant people that don't like people just because of a name. There are still many racist people out there. I fear for him, once he is in office...there are many dangerous nazi racist types that want to kill him to get him out of the White House. -

No that has nothing to do with it, he has no experience and to run the country.....heaven help us if he should win! Based on experience alone.........I could not vote for him, I could vote for Sarah Palin because he has far more experience. Don't like his past friendships either and he is denying every one of them.........shows his character......... -

His race is the only reason BHO has survived and thrived during this election. Were he white, he would not be here. No, white americans are so desperate to put the so-called history of racism behind them that they are getting ready to elect the racist to rule them. This country truly has gone down the rabbit hole. -

I wish people would let go of the race card for this election. It seems it has been a major issue and it shouldn't be. We should be listening to what they plan to do to fix America and vote from there and leave the color of their skin out of it.

It's a factor, but not a huge one. However, it does tickle me to no end when people refer to him by his full name. Funny that they do that, you never hear them say John Sidney McCain. I wonder why that is...
