MCRmy on SodaHead
Back before we know it?
Gerard's blog a few weeks ago stated that the band may be back before we even realize that they were gone . . . I kind of took this as a hint that their break might not be as gut wrenchingly long as we first heard.I don't know though, what do you think?

Don't think there's any chance of them being back sooner.
Plus, I want them to spend more time on the next album so that it's AWESOME!!
Also, if they do stay on their break and come back when they say then that's the year I was planning to go to some festivals, so chances are I might just see them at one. Would be awesome!
Plus the more I wait, the more excited I'll be! You don't appreciate something as much until it's taken away!

I don't want them to rush I would rather have a gut-wrenchingly long break (considering it's half-way over now) and produce a great record instead of another black parade, I want them to come back strong and new. They should set-up lives and start living a bit too. for their sake. -

It really doesn't matter to me...I trust that whenever their new album comes out, it will be amazingly done (whether or not it will top The Black Parade is another story). However, I hope they find some time to spend with their new spouses...I know first-hand how difficult a long-distance relationship can be. -

Answered WOAH WAIT WHAT?!? What that optimism from Nikki?
I'd like for them to return quickly with new material/look and energy to spare but I think that the longer they take (not too long of course,) on their next album/single then the better they will be. -

I don't know... eeks! I was just thinking about that today! I was like damn... what if My Chem starts touring like soon... like 2009 soon? And then I started freaking out like oh my god, what if I miss buying tickets?! I need to get my god damn tickets! HOLY SHITTER!
And then I was just a bit nervous.

They should take as long as they want. They deserve a break after everything that's been thrown at them. Gerard didn't even have a proper honeymoon with Lyn-Z after their marriage, I'm sure Mikey wants some time with Alicia, Frank with Jamia and Ray just got married. And Bob's getting a break from all the cameras he hates so much [[and he now has time for the secret missions we all know ninja!bob is hiding from us]]. They have their own lives to live, and for those who can't seem to keep their pants on, look at it this way; The longer we wait, the more pumped the guys will get. By the time the album is out, they could very well be bursting with energy for another tour. Don't quote me on that though, they are their own persons. -

i dont really know.. i think they could use a break!!! plus if they have a break maybe they wont have the same atitude as many bands that get big "well were extremly famous we can do what we want and still be big!" type thing... that way they can focus on the music better.. . i would rather wait years for another good CD then a few monthes for a terrible CD -

Well after seeing that recent picutre with gerards hair and the woman who met them talked to them and said they were alerady in the studio working on some new stuff.
either they will be back before we even got used to to them having a break...or they will take time on this album....to make it extra great..and maybe the wait will ahve to do with it being the last album...but i dont wanna be a pessimist and im sure its not hte last album so don'T kill me!!!!!=D -

That might be a hint saying they'll be back sooner, but I also agree with Diaverde08-NoPedro, they need to take their time to really do the best they can to make the greatest album ever !! I mean it's got to be really really hard to do better than the Black Parade ! -

I never thought their break was going to be gut-wrenchingly long in the first place. I mean, he's always said, since TBP first came out that they were going to take a break afterwards. He's also said numerous times not to expect a new album from them til at least 2009, which seems perfectly reasonable to me since they were still touring well into 2008. Hell, I'd even be fine with an album in 2010.
The people who are clamoring for a new album already actually make me laugh to be honest. They need to calm the fuck down. -
raves Oct 09, 2008 06:55PM GMTXD I always feel like hiding my face in shame when confronted with a fan who completely disregards their wishes for some recovery time. As much as I can't wait for them to be back, I'd rather they spent some times living their lives than come back to satisfy fans . . .

raves Oct 09, 2008 08:28PM GMTexactly....I'm quite sure, no matter how long they take, that they'll make it worth the wait.
Plus, I have the added perspective of being a Green Day fan. They decided to take a break after American Idiot, which made sense, they had spent two years touring/promoting it, and they still haven't come out with a new album. They've been in and out of the studio working on new material for the past 3 years. And a lot of the fans have started to get a little antsy because of it. But that was after 3 years...I saw people getting upset over MCR being on break after a few weeks! it's like you've gotta be kidding me....

they should take their time. I'm hoping that they spend as much time as neccissary to record as bad-ass an album as possible. Don't let us fans bother. Just focus on making the best music that can be recorded on a CD. I think it would be worth the wait.
