Raves -- "thumbs up", "thumbs down" -- would you like to see both on your dashboard?
There are several polls relating to down raves -- should they be anonymous, are they relevant, do we care...We can see how many up raves we have received, from whom, and for what, on our dashboard.
I would like to see down raves I have received, from whom, and for what, on my dashboard.
(Not for retribution, but because there may be cause for rethinking my comment, for further comment, or for further discussion.)
Would you appreciate having down raves on your dashboard?

Answered Yes, I would like to see down raves on my dashboard.
Those are my badges of honor bestowed upon me by the bigoted losers in the political polls, i know i'm closing in on 17k upraves, but i'm also sure i'm closing in on 20k badges of honor and i would like to see them in my panel...
don't really care too much who they are from though... most people can already tell who the type of person is who would give them without reason...
[edit: that should read "without a "valid" reason other than disagreeing with my chosen candidate or view on the issue"] -
Answered No, I don't want to see down raves on my dashboard.
Because I can always find them. But they are not disclosed, anyway. So what does it matter. Someone doesn't like your opinions. Who cares? Unless they are leaving a comment and if I agree or disagree, I like to be polite and answer their comment.
But I don't care who gives me the dumbs down. I not in a competition, just expressing a thought. -
Yes, this is very true. The raves or nays should be given for content. But then we all know, that people that give you the DR give it to you because they don't like what you have to say. That's just the way they are.
This is all just for fun, or should be and to get to know new people of like mind. Me, I just try to like everyone and see good in everyone, even if they don't like or agree with me. LOL
Love your Orangs! -
Answered I don't care about down raves one way or the other.
That's not entirely true because I do care to rethink my comments, as you said. However, I am careful in choosing my words -so not to offend or belittle anyone while stating my perspective- and if someone is downraving me just because our opinions differ then I don't need to see it. -

I want to know if it is the person who posted the poll or some other person..........It just burns me when they show up on a poll that you may respond in a manner that they don't want!
Plus-just to save my old body any more stress (LOL)-I want to be able to block repeat offenders!
Hmm, maybe I've lived with a former police officer too long...........:)

Voting here only because there is no "Other" option.Seeing DR's can be a source of aggravation. If you don't know who did it or even have the ability to figure it out as we did before the September format change, there is no real purpose.
Mass downravers usually have no rhyme, reason or purpose, except to vent their anger.
As many of us have opined previously, abolishing anonymous downraving would cut way down on the petty vindictiveness. However, I think SH management may keep it this way to keep red thumbs from escalating into a bloody battlefield.
