DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER SCREWED UP AGAIN...WOULD YOU GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE?
DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER'S RACIST RANT -- CAUGHT ON TAPE!Dog Chapman has been captured spewing foul-mouthed racist slurs on a tape obtained exclusively by The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.
And now a civil rights leader is calling for Dog's TV show to be removed from the airwaves.
In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane "Dog" Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults.
The star of the A&E reality show Dog, The Bounty Hunter directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker's girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black.
"Dog Chapman should not have a show. That show should be taken off the air!"
That's the opinion of prominent civil rights leader Roy Innis, who has served as the chairman of the Congress for Racial Equality (CORE) since 1968. Innis was shocked and outraged when The ENQUIRER played Dog Chapman's racist telephone conversations for him.
"This man should not be held up as a role model for children," Innis told The ENQUIRER. "He has venom deep in his soul. This is a picture of his heart — a revelation of his true nature.
Innis believes that cable network A&E needs to take swift action in response to Dog's vicious outburst.
"He needs to answer for his behavior," says Innis.
"When someone gets the opportunity to use the airwaves, he becomes a role model, whether he likes it or not. Dog Chapman should not be in that position, posing as a good guy.
"His comments show that he certainly is not a good guy."

Another skewing of double standards. Why do we tolerate the "artistic expression" of african-americans words, but when a caucasion says anything along the lines of racial slurs or racially motivated comments, we're immediately suppose to censure them and remove them from their outlets. I am not condoning what he said. Just stating we need to think about fairness and equality which I thought was the goal we were working twoard? Am I wrong? -

TO HELL WITH DOG AND HIS COMMENT! PEOPLE SAY WHAT THEY BELIEVE AT SOME POINT EVEN IF IT'S NOT TOTALLY WHAT THEY BELIEVE. CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT. THIS HUMAN RACE IS TAINTED. BLAME IT ON WHATEVER YOU WANT; FREE WILL, NONEXISTENT GOD, WHAT YOU LEARNED FROM HOME AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT, OR WHATEVER. WE ARE DOOMED TO DESTROY AS MANY HUMANS, ANIMALS, PLANTS AND AS MUCH OF THE ENVIRONMENT AS WE CAN. THERE IS VERY LITTLE CONTROL. THINGS STAY COVERED UNTIL YOU GET CAUGHT. -

Oh, I could say so much about this question.....I will first say that this was supposedly a PRIVATE conversation between him and his son! How many times have every single one of us said things in confidence to another person that we would never say in public? And second, it kills me that the media takes these celebrities lives and just picks them apart into little pieces! Who would care if one of us non celebrity people said this to one of our kids? Nobody I would venture to guess. People need to stop looking for reasons to bash people! -

As a Hawaii resident, I have to say that, in my understanding of the way people on this island communicate, the racial slurs he used do not have the same connotation here as they do elsewhere. I hear terms of that sort used freely by just about everyone, and that does *not* mean everyone here is racist - heck, most everyone here, myself included, come from a mix of races, so to be a bigot would be a self-defeating idiocy.
The thing is, Hawaii is a *very* un-PC place, and to hear the residents, like Dog, talk, you might think that no one here accepts anyone, while in reality the exact opposite is true - so little here is racially motivated that the usual racial slurs are simply used without feelings involved on either side.
Most of the time, anyway. There are, of course, exceptions. But considering Dog's actions on his show, which have never involved racism or bigotry in any way, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume what he said was anger-based, not hatred-based.
And as a note of interesting irony, most of the racism I've encountered on this island was from the locals against the 'haoles' - i.e. white folks like Dog and his family. It's really not like it is on the mainland here, folks - so please don't expect it to be.

This is not to say, by the way, that I *agree* with using racial terms such as the ones Dog used - I've never used them, and I never will. I'm just pointing out how things are over here. I'm not saying I approve, or that it's right - or wrong, for that matter. It just is.(less) -

I am getting sick of these racial civil rights idiots deciding what TV and Radio shows to shut down. I don't condone using the N word at all, but this was a private family conversation which had nothing to do with his TV show. Dog is a great man and has helped many people. I definately vote YES, get him back on his show, it is very intertaining. -
raves Dec 10, 2007 12:22AM GMTdog! a good christain? ha! I never heard a good christain talk like that to their children or anyone else. the real dog has been expose to the world by his son as a racist. if his son say he is racist than I belive it. Dog show will go back on the air in time because of all the media attention. its all about the rating his show will be bigger than before. but it will not last because no one will endorse a proven racist. Dog ugly face should never be seen on TV again.

I would say why not!they gave Don Imus, another chance n he certainly does not deserve one after he made those remarks against the Rutgers basketball womens team for no reason except that he was arrogant and stupid in what he did so why not give "Dog" another chance! -

When I first heard of this I thought - oh man what a bummer, he's racist too.
But then I started thinking- and reading other posts here- and they're right!
I think he's dumb and ignorant for not getting rid of the n word in his house. I mean, after all this talk recently about the n word and how people shouldn't use it, and he's still using it daily? He really should've stopped that.
But then again, he obviously isn't racist by his actions when he's working- so his personal life should be kept personal.
I think what his son did was worse- considering all of this. -
raves +2 Dec 10, 2007 12:48AM GMTHis son should get medal for exposing the real dog to the world. if I would have known dog was a racist I would not have supported him when he was lock up in mexico. racist personality should not be on TV because somebody may think that its cool to be a racist. we dont need to add to all the bad things already on TV influencing our kids.

Yes, I said it when the story first broke, he screwed up. He's working on it, I believe he's sincere, he definitely has alot to lose, but, even if he had more slips, I would still give him a chance, I love the show, he does good work, and he's a hard worker, he's human, not perfect and he knows this. Thank goodness, it's out in the open, he can now work on it. What do ya'll expect from him, he's a tough guy, it will take time for him to change. He has a great minister, and he is surrounded by family and friends. His son, screwed up too, so dog has alot of his plate. Al Sharpton, stay out of this and let the Dog what he needs to do to heal. -

He didn't use his show as a vehicle for his hateful spew, so why should his show be sanctioned for something that was not intended to be publically broadcasted? Many people have "venom deep in their soul" and we still allow them to be celebrities.
Firing him would the height of ridiculousness IMO.
