Do You Agree that PETA has gone too far in supporting the ALF's (the “Army of the Kind") terrorist acts towards research labs?
ALF poses significant dangers, and yet PETA has called ALF the “Army of the Kind” claiming that it is “not a ‘terrorist’ group" and that the members act "courageously, risking their freedom and careers to stop the terror inflicted every day on animals in laboratories.”

In a new author’s note in her book about the Animal Liberation Front, “Free the Animals,” Ingrid Newkirk (president and co-founder of PETA) wrote, “Determined to cause economic injury to the exploiters, ALF members burn down their emptied buildings and smash their vehicles to smithereens. Perhaps, after reading this book, you will find that you cannot blame them."

I'm not sure I agree with this. Hey, I love animals (especially myself), but I'm not sure it's fair to attack people and their property. Sounds shady to me... What do you think?

By that thinking then it's OK if someone burns down peta headquarters as long as it's unoccupied because they don't agree with peta.

if you'd like someone to experiment on u then you should have voted yes - cruelty to any living creature is unforgivable - there r no excuses!!!!!

Define cruelty? Humans have medical experiements performed on them as well, willingly. How do you know the animals would not volunteer for these tests? White mice, cats, dogs, primates are bred for these tests and are not or ever been "wild" or free ranging.

Is it cruel to be raised for food, to only live a few short months, then be herded by machine to a place to be slaughtered and packaged? If so then how do you condone such things happening to living creatures called plants?

PETA is a joke. Its one of those organizations which has a good idea and put in the wrong direction. Think about it....who doesn't support the idea of treating animals with respect and humanity? It is a good idea taken in a horrible direction...like supporting terrorist groups.

PETA scares me because it seems like they are more than willing to put animal rights ahead of HUMAN rights.

Once homeless people stop freezing to death in the parking lot half a mile away from my house is when I will start worrying about baby seals.

I don't support a lot of their causes (like not keeping any pets), but I don't think there is ANY place for non human primate testing.

Violence isn't gonna solve anything, but I would bet it would turn some people off to their cause for sure!

Nor do I support them trying to pass BSL.

Are they trying to pass that? I hadn't heard that.
  • raves +1   [-] by PBL
The last I heard they were trying to pass breed specific legislation against (specifically) pit bulls. There's a poll on SH about it.

BSL is usually fueled by idiot politicians. It's so stupid!
