I dont love it while it's going in, but I dont react in a negative way, I remain calm, I deal with how it feels, I love when it's over, and I'm not getting jabbed in a vain.
I have memorys of how it feels even now, and if you've ever been given an injection, or had blood drawn, and they didnt use enough anesthetic or numbing agent... you will cringe like I am right now...
any agree? -

They aren't fun but I don't mind them. I just hate when whatever I am getting injected with burns. Hepatitis shots BURN.
I actually like watching them put the needle in but nurses always make me look away. C'mon, I can stomach it! -

If it's those long thick needles, I just turn my head. Little needles don't bother me. It's kinda cool to watch the blood squirt into that little tube. Oh yeah, I have tattoos too, it was cool watching him tattoo my arms. I couldn't see him do my back, but that crap hurt a bit. But I'm a big girl.. :o) I can handle it! -

I can watch people slice their fingers off, skin and gut fish, and that stuff. I've even sliced my hand and been all calm (I received 21 stitches for it, 10 in the muscle and 11 to close the wound itself). But put a needle near me or have someone on tv doing something with a needle and I'm done. Weird thing is I can inject myself or draw my own blood (if need be), but, no one else can bring one near me. No I'm not a junkie, I just know I can do it. -

injections mostly. Last time I had blood drawn it was quick and painless b/c it was a phelbotomist. the time before that it was a nurse and a student and they tried so hard, i passed out. then, they didn't get enough blood and i had to go back. that time it was three people (2 RNs and a student) and got it after 3 tries. I guess it is more the person than the procedure. -

Terrified. It's kept me from getting any tattoos and the eyebrow piercing I want. I've always been afraid of them.
When I was young I freaked out in a doctors office when they tried to take blood and they brought in a HUGE muscle-y nurse to hold me down. She actually scared me more than the needle, haha -

I'm not afraid of needles, it's what they do with them!!
