OMG it's a spider! What do you do?

I realize there are a lot of differing opinions on spiders... how do you handle them?

I keep spiders as pets, so I don't really have any fear.
As long as they stay away from me, I stay away from them.

I cant even look at a spider. I'm afraid of them and their so weird looking it creeps me out to even kill them. I freak out when I see one.

I scoop up bugs all the time and put them outside when I see them in the house. Anyone who kills bugs is a jerk. It's just lazy and mean.

I always tell the spiders behind my cupboards, that I wont kill them when they leave me alone. And I never had any problems with them.

I dont mind spiders, I usually just put them outside if I see one in the house, I dont care if its in the house either tho, as long as I can get rid of it soon enough before it lays eggs and I get like 2000 more in a day. :p

I don't keep em as pets but I don't kill them on sight either. If they are in the house I shoe them outside (before my cats do them in!) If they are outside...I give them their space. They are after all incredibly cool creatures!

We had (too cold now) favorite spiders with webs in various places outside. My favorite web covered a kitchen window where I could watch everyday. The ones that cover doorways had to be moved, I do NOT like walking into webs... the dance that follows is quite amusing =)
Inside spiders must go out, if they cannot be moved they are regrettably squashed.

In our area we have grass snakes, garter snakes, black snakes and rattlesnakes and if I have my way..........dead snakes. I go completely to pieces if I see one.

Some black snakes (AKA Black Pines) are INSANELY agressive... but I still keep one as a pet LOL

I know some people like snakes and keep them for pets but I just really really don't like them. Never have.

I hear that a lot! I like that they don't bark, you don't have to feed them every day, and you can leave them alone for a week at a time as long as they have enough water and a heat lamp.

I would use a pyrethrin spray such as cyfluthrin, permethrin, or bifenthrin. I could always use an ammonia based cleaner but if you want to be twisted take it to another spiders web and throw it in and see who is the victor
