The Republican race in Iowa is a close one... while Guiliani has seen decreasing support and Fred Thomspon's campaign has failed to live up to expectations, both Huckabee and Romney are running neck and neck in this start to the Presidential primaries.

Furthermore, Ron Paul cannot be counted out of this caucus due to his amazing fund raising efforts (which amounted to 18 million dollars in under 3 months), large grassroots support, and numerous straw poll victories.

If Ron Paul wins the Iowa caucus, will this have a major effect on the possibility of him becoming President?

Yes he did and he got it re-handed to him in Wyoming as well. He scored a big ZERO, ZIP, NADA, ZILCH. and in N.H. he only got 8% - roughly 70,000 votes less than McCain and 50,000 less than Romney. He is yesterdays news!

Yes, Ron Paul needs this, and if he does well, it will back everything that he stands for, showing the rest of the media that he does have a fan base, whether they want to see it or not.

He is the only candidate on either ticket who I would vote for President. I especially like his views on the illegals.

Ron Pul has largely been ignored by major media thus far, if he wins the Iowa straw poll, this would be huge, this is something that must be reported, until then, RP supporters for all our energy, and fundraising, are simply a bunch of over zealous supporters. I looked todeay at the poll numbers, and for the first time I saw Ron Pauls name, He is tied for fourth. A victory in Iowa, might knock out all the other campaigns but one due to the shock.

Answered Eh, he'll have a slightly better chance, but nothing major.

First the Iowa caucus really does not mean a whole lot (I hate how they have a state with only 7 electoral votes get this much attention). Anyways, Ron Paul does not stand a chance at winning the Iowa cacus. He does however have a slight cance of coming in third. If he could come in at least third I think that would slightly help him out, but overall I do not think he has any chance at winning the Republican primary.

One thing I can say about this election... it ain't over until it's over. I'm not willing to count anyone completely out, yet. Ron Paul has as much of a chance as any of the other candidates of becoming the next President of the United States of America.
