Children: Bring, Have Arranged Care on Location, or Leave them Home? (Or something else?)?
Someone's discussion mentioned childcare. I intend to bring mine, but it's best if we arrange some ideas. Here are mine:-

This is a decision that I will let others make as for me it makes no difference one way or another to me. I can handle either way. I will not be brigning any as mine are grown and I will have spent enough time with my grandkids in the summer. That I can use just some me time. -
raves +1 Jan 06, 2008 04:15AM GMT (edited)When you say "because they I don't understand it" did you mean "they don't understand it" or "I don't understand it" because that is confusing and an actual incorrect use of the english language.
The grammar here is precicely correct (besides the fact that the apostrophe goes between the n and the t and not before the two, since the O is what is contracted out). This is an if-then statement, also called a conditional, where the verb in both the If and the Then must be parallel: in this case, negative future conditional.
Please do not call people stupid on my polls because of the language they use, or for any reason for that matter, especially if the language they use is not a misuse. This is a poll for gathering useful information about what we should do with our kids when we meet.
Thank you. -

I meant "I" don't understand it, I think you must know I had the word "they" in there by accident--- perhaps it is proper the way he wrote it- don't know don't care, but it confuses me.. sorry if that bothers you -- oh yeah, and he's my husband so I can tease him if I want anyway...
BTW precisely isn't spelled precicely. -

There is a lot of people slamming other people so I wasn't sure if you meant "I" or "they." thanks for the clarification...and sorry for picking on you when you were just being onery and not serious. Sometimes, it's hard to tell. -

Answered Kids are welcome at the convention
I think kids are a very important part of who you are, and if you feel like taking your kids along, every activity should be "family oriented" and for those who want a little more "non-family" oriented stuff to do, you can make plans to do that stuff and then each parent can decide whether or not they can attend without their kids.
I would hate for people to feel left out for bringing their kids along, but as Hase said, most activities are going to be focused on where you guys are going to be having the convention, and I don't think there is going to be much involved in the way of things that cannot be enjoyed by everyone, including kids. -

banking on finacial status I would very much like to come, but I really don't trust other ppl with my children that I don't know well. I have no family willing to keep them either, not even for christmas shopping or dr appointments. Not that they are bad kids just no one in my family wants to take time out for me. So finding someone to keep them a whole weekend would be very hard. I don't expect any kind of entertainment from the group for them either, thats kind of my job to entertain them. I do think it may put a clinch on how much is done with the group but I'm the one missing out not everyone else, like wise the other parents needing to bring their child/children. -
raves +2 Jan 04, 2008 01:34AM GMTThe reason we are pushing for the center of the US is because it is in the intrest of being fair to everyone....
I mean why did I not decide Orlando? It is REALLY close to home for me, Disney World is right here... Because it is unfair to people on the West coast and the centeral states... -

Listen I understand that many have children, but the reson we are planning it for a time when your children wont have school is so that we can all relax and enjoy ourselves. If you want to you can bring your children but we are not gearing any events for children, or planning child care on site as it will add to cost. The real reason we are shooting for a weekend that the children wont have school monday is for the participants benefit, so they do not have to check out and leaveon Sunday to get the kidsoff to school on Monday.
I am sure you all have great kids, I just am not looking forward to meeting them at this function :o)
