Those statements were taken out of context. Propaganda at it's best.

I wouldn't be voting for him for many reasons. I agree with alot of what he has to say, but there are too many things that I do not agree with him on.
I would however vote for him over any Dem running.
  • raves +2   [-] by marsred
Surprised that he rates above every Dem that's running. I disagree wholeheartedly but wish to thank you for expressing your opinion in a strong and civil manner. It's so refreshing. ö
  • raves +1   [-] by Valkyries
Your more than welcome. No need for all that garbage.
  • raves +2   [-] by marsred
Pardon me... what part did you consider garbage?
  • raves +1   [-] by Valkyries
I think you must have taken what I said wrong.
I am talking about when people start to get ugly regarding political parties.
That is the garbage I am talking about. I try not to make it personal. Everyone is intitled to their opinion and choose who they feel is best. Just because people do not agree, does not mean it needs to get ugly. That is what I was saying.
  • raves +2   [-] by marsred
Oh, I now understand and agree completely. There is no need for uncivil garbage. I often wonder what uncivil people think they're accomplishing? ö

If he rates over every Democrat running, then how come more people are voting for democrats than all the Republicans in the race.....I don't understand your comment.
  • raves +1   [-] by marsred
Hi Lil, I've gotten confused (as usual) is your reply addressed to me? ö

    mars
  • raves +1   [-] by Gramma Lil
    Yes...hello by the way.
  • raves +1   [-] by marsred
Hi right back. I guess you didn't read this very carefully, I said:
"Surprised that he (Ron Paul) rates above every Dem that's running. I disagree wholeheartedly but wish to thank you for expressing your opinion in a strong and civil manner. It's so refreshing. ö "

What I hoped people who read that would understand is that I find it surprising for anyone to think Ron Paul rates higher than every Democratic candidate. I hoped saying that "I disagree wholeheartedly..." would make my position very clear.

Consequently, I can't understand how your comment: "If he rates over every Democrat running, then how come more people are voting for democrats than all the Republicans in the race" would apply to me?

I guess I'm more confused than ever. Please help me out by explaining. thanks a bunch, Lil. ö

I avoided Ron Paul Discussions for two reasons:
1 I didn't know enough about him to really say much more than things that would piss off his supporters.
2 Unless you are supported by one of the "Big Two"(Democrats or republican) your dirty laundry will be the first to wash up on the beach of public information.
Unfortunatly the dirty laundry of the big two tends to stay hidden until it's too late!!
  • raves +3   [-] by marsred
That was an especially civil thing to do. Thanks for showing us how to agree and disagree without rancor! ö

I haven't decided much definitively about ANY of the candidates, I will worry about who to vote for when the primaries are truly over, and then we have to decide which one is the lesser of the two evils...

As far as this poll goes, and Ron Paul, I have not liked what I have heard of him lately....he has said a lot of poignant stuff in the past, and made some good statements, HOWEVER....it is easy to talk to the talk, and it is hard to bullshit a bullshitter....LOL....saying and doing are 2 separate things, and ultimately, I have yet, in my lifetime, seen a president that has lived up to the promises they have made in their election year, as they were campaigning.

Either way, from the selection we have right now, I still think this country as a whole is screwed....
  • raves +2   [-] by marsred
There's plenty of time to choose between Larry, Darryl, and Darryl. I think there are a few possibilities out there too, but what you say is far too true most of the time. Wouldn't it be great if we were pleasantly surprised for once. ö
