this may or may not be your favorite band, but the band you relate to and love the most. I had to get up and put on Live at Leeds by The Who at one in the morning because I just had to hear "Heaven and Hell". The Stone Roses is my favorite band followed by Rush, but I just love The Who. Maybe I relate to Pete Townshend so well because he is so screwed up. But he wrote some of the greatest songs in rock. I love Tommy (kinda self explanatory) Who's Next (primarily because of Behind Blue Eyes) and Quadrophenia (double schizophrenia hmm...just as long as I'm not too moody with my mental illness) music can be so uplifting and put you in a positive mood even if your life (like mine) is a wreck.

My Chemical Romance..it is intelligent writing, awesome lyrics... Musically tight. I relate to it on so many levels..someone who is just as messed up as you and make it thru.I get it....feeling abandon, angst, destructive relationships..revenge,wanting and striving to be a better person..never quite getting there and partly a romantic notion that love = death, also getting a glimpse of what someone is thinking and feeling..the power and raw emotion of the singing gets to me on a deep level.I listen when I'm happy, upset...angry..the main thing is.. I "feel" when I listen to it. -

Strangely enough, I find myself personally connecting with Tom Waits the most.. Even though his lyrical themes are largely ficticious, there is an imaginitive quality and style that I really connect with somehow... I also connect with Pearl Jam on a more literal basis. -

I guess the most personal I ever got was with R.E.O. Speedwagon. I was able to litterally shake hands with them and the drummer even brought me out a beer. That was really really cool. As for reaching that special spot inside. Sure lots but no one special.
