Is using Barack "Hussein" Obama's middle name wrong?
When people refer to Barack Obama as Barack Hussein Obama it almost always is an attempt to discredit the candidate by pointing out relations between his name and Saddam Hussein.Many other Presidents/candidates have proudly displayed their middle names: Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Ronald Wilson Reagan, William Jefferson Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton to name a few.
What do you guys think... Is using Barack "Hussein" Obama's middle name wrong?

Obama was given this middle name when he was born in 1961. It is a family name; he was named for his paternal grandmother, Sarah Hussein Obama, who was given this name in 1928. -

Lots of people, as you pointed out, use their middle names. People just get sensitive because his name happens to be the same as the other Hussein. -

I am writing the two of you this letter because phone calls continue to be ignored. I feel it is only fair that I address the following questions to the two of you directly one last time.
1. Who is Ron Allen that claims to be with your Presidential camp, who is alleged to claim that someone claiming to represent me called asking for $100,000, to keep me from coming forward about our (Obama and I) November 1999 encounter of sex and cocaine use?
2. How can the two of you stand in front of this country talking about bring people together at the same time you both have engaged your supporters in a massive internet smear against me where you are providing knowing false information to your paid bloggers for the purpose trying to keep the truth about you Mr. Obama from coming out?

4. How can either of you gentleman claim to be concerned about truth when you and Mr. Axelrod engaged in a payoff deal with Dan Parisi of Whitehouse.com to the tune of $750,000, to arrange a rigged polygraph?
5. Do you truly believe (that after you two have gone to the extent that you have to have me smeared on the internet with outright false statements) I will go away? Because if you do, I want to tell you right now that the only thing you have done by having my life repeatedly threatened, and by repeatedly providing out right false information for your supporters to post about me on the web, is to make certain that I will not go away and I will not rest until the truth about you both is across every headline around the world.
6. If you claim that neither of you have had nothing to do with the internet attacks and false statements, then prove, post it on your web site and denounce any such attacks. I know you will not because a great deal of the false information has come directly from Mr. Axelrod and his associates.
7. If you claim you had no involvement in the Whitehouse.com scam, then prove it. Publicly denounce Dan Parisi's getting me to agree to his scam and then stopping payment on his check.
8. If you and Mr. Axelrod claim you had no involvement with Dan Parisi open up your accounts and the accounts of AKP and David Axelrod for review to prove it.
It needs to be made clear that I will not be threatened nor will I allow you to feed completely false information about me to your bloggers and then just fade away into the sunset. Let me make it clear that your attacks against me have only hardened my resolve to see that this story gets out and you are exposed for what both of you truly are.

Most of the people that do use it in a context that tries to belittle Barack Obama really don't seem like they are old enough to vote anyway. It's just a cheap shot, usually from the Hillary camp. -

Other Presidents' middle names we are familiar with are John Fitzgerald Kennedy, George Herbert Walker Bush, John Calvin Coolidge, Thomas Woodrow Wilson (they went by their middle names), Richard Milhouse Nixon, Lyndon Baynes Johnson..... -
Quote, with a source, one time that his campaign staff has said "using his middle name suggests racial bias on the part of those who are using it." The only thing that I don't agree with is the extremely obvious negative context that it is used in to insinuate, to the ignorant, that he is related in some way Saddam Hussein or the Negativity which he stood for. It is blatantly obvious!! There is nothing wrong with his middle name.

Look, I cannot site an exact quote. What I can say is that I saw this on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC as well as reading in newspapers, specifically articles coming out of Associated Press, the particular opinion, that uttering his middle name is racial bias. Now, you cannot deny that. Democratic Strategists and other supporters such as fellow senators and congressman stated this on those networks when this was a hot media topic about a month ago.
People are not stupid enough to think that he is related to Saddam Hussein! However, the name "Hussein" has a religious conotation to Mohammad. It is what it is. -

I am NOT ignorant, but you sound like a moron. Hillary Rodham Clinton, she used her middle name when she was running for the Senate. John Sydney McCain III has not been widely known to use his middle name for the past 30 years. Obama has much to deal with regarding his name because people sometimes say Osama mistakingly (like Ted Kennedy and my aunt).

And as i said, it is not the name that is the problem. It is the people who use it and the context that they use it in. You are one of those blind sheep, so to speak. And I will say again, Rodham is her maiden name. Obviously she does not use her middle name for some reason...does she not like it?? If my middle name were Hussein, I wouldn't be using it either. I wouldn't be using it just out of the pure and simple fact that there are feeble minded people like you that would attemp to turn it into something that it is not.

It's his name, so why not use it. You could say there's as much an ulterior motive in his deliberately not using it as there is in someone else deliberately using it.
