Is the media defending Obama's Muslim ties after attacking Mitt Romney's Mormon religion?
Seven in 10 in the nonpartisan Pew Research Center poll said they believe it is important for a president to have strong religious beliefs, including broad majorities of both parties. Most also see each major presidential hopeful as at least somewhat religious—important because people who view a candidate that way are likelier to have a favorable opinion of them.

Of those expressing an opinion on the candidates’ beliefs, 46 percent said they consider Romney, a Republican contender, to be very religious, far more than any other candidate. Yet a quarter of all Republicans—including 36 percent of white evangelical Protestants—said they would be less likely to vote for a Mormon.

I think this question is mute. Senator Obama is a Christian. No one knows if a person is a true Christian except the person in question and Jesus Christ himself. Just because his name has a Muslim origin does not mean he is a Muslim. I do not believe he is a Muslim. There is no evidence that he is a Muslim in his public, private, or family life. I do not believe Obama is a Muslim. Secondly, I do not believe the media was at fault for attacking Mitt Romney's faith it was Gov Huckabee and some from the Evangelical groups.

Answered No. Americans wouldn't like a Mormon President.

Actually, Obama is not moslem. I am not sure where that idea was started, but no practicing moslem would have their family participate in a Christian church of any denomination. Also, I did not see any bias in the media about Romney being Mormon. I have no doubt that many voters dislike the Mormon sect.

First, is the text from this question your own writing or quoted from an article? If your own, you should note where you got your facts. And second, it doesn't say anything about Obama, just Romney. So some republicans don't like the Mormon religion, so? How does that have anything to do with Obama and his religion? And what difference does it make? Romney's out of the running, and what Republicans are going to vote for Obama anyway? (I would guess Republicans place more importance on religion than Democrats)

I don't know, but I find the whole religion thing retarded. Their policies should be the most important thing. What are these people planning to do once they get into office should be the important thing to consider.
