I don't know about the places where any of you live, but the radio stations here in South Florida are beyond horrible. The only thing most places seem to be able to play here are tunes from the 80s and 90s. And then there is the "broken record" syndrome as they play the same songs over and over and over again...all day long. Never do we hear any good new tunes...it is always the same slop. And the morning shows - not funny... Anyone else have bones with their local radio stations?

Answered Yes! These guys wouldn't know a good song if it bit them in the ass.
Unfortunately, I live in a "reception challenged" area......I only receive a few channels, and seem to hear the same tunes, sometimes in the same order, over and over again......... -

Answered I don't even bother with local stations I have Satellite Radio
Unless I live near the San Diego area. 91 X is the best radio station I've ever heard. And I know its good because it's been around for more than 20 years! Most radio stations don't last a fraction of that. -

Before i got XM radio, i would bring all my cd's around everywhere to listen to while i was in the car.
Where i live now all they have are a Top Hits station (crappy pop), About a million country stations, one rap station, and a bunch of christian stations. I'd go crazy trying to find something worth listening to! -

Tampa stations aren't too bad, but I really don't listen to the radio too much... I listen to http://www.renegaderadio.net and I live for Euro-Rock...not too many stations play Euro-Rock! :( -

Answered Undecided
I could do without the Bon Jovi and the Born In The USA era Bruce Springsteen, but between Big 105.9 and 93 Rock, the stations down here are O.K. Have you ever heard the Paul and Young Ron Show on Big 105.9? I personally think it is funny as hell. -
raves posted Mar 12, 2008 04:04PM GMT105.9 and 93 are the most tolerable of all of them, but they still play the same things over and over - and there are SO many great bands out there from this era. I am not a fan of morning talk shows - I hate people yapping at me when I've just woken up in the morning.

They do tend to play the same stuff all the time (though I am listening to 93 Rock right now, and they are playing Fade To Black by Metallica....no complaints there). But on Paul and Ron, OMG Mike was going to Langerado and all they talked about was 311, REM and the Beastie Boys, not one mention of Gov't. Mule. If Big plays an ELO song, you can bet it will be either Fire on High or Evil Woman. I would like a station that just played whatever the hell they wanted to.

the town I live in we have no good stations, the rap station should be called the crap station, and we dont even have a rock station. I might have to have my own rock station so we can have one here.. but I mostly listen to the ROCK or METAL channel on my digital cable music choice.com
