Osama Bin Laden condemns EU over Muhammad cartoons. Should this threat be taken seriously?
Great! Just what we needed. A new statement attributed to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden condemns European countries for siding with the United States in Afghanistan and for allowing the publication of cartoons considered insulting to Islam's prophet, Muhammad.

Part of terrorism is to keep you guessing. Our country's biggest mistake was arsing around the mulberry bush instead of sending covert ops to blow this wack job to his band of merry virgins in the hereafter.

there is some question as to whether he is dead at the moment. there is still an al qaeda threat out there, and so it needs to be taken seriously. i'm sure there are countries he hasn't threatened yet, just because there are many countries. however, if this is bin laden, then the guy's a hypocrit. his methods are known to be immoral by any standard and he's condemning others for their immorality? the guy's a dangerous wack-job. if he's still alive, then he should be killed - by any means available. he is a danger to everyone. that would not solve the terrorist problem, unfortunately. it would help though.

He is still a threat, don't get me wrong but all of his threats since 9/11 have been hollow. Lets hope none have a heart beat.

It has to be taken seriously because they're nuts. It shouldn't be taken seriously because they/he should have no say in how other countries behave.

You know, its bad enough when a grown man will strap a bomb to his chest and kill without care, then of course we see they send their wives and children to do the same thing. These animals care about nothing, it seems to me that showing care for their spiritual leader "Muhammad" is just another excuse to kill others. Anything they say or do should cause us to care and think. They have "NEVER" been peaceful, they kill their own and anyone who does not conform to their beliefs is an infidel and deserves to die. Make no mistake, these animals KILL...

No, he is worm food. He died in the Tora Bora bombings in 2002. Get serious, this megalomaniac loved videos more than Chuckie Schummer and he hasn't been seen on one since Oct. 2002. Because he's dead.

I agree. Why are people provoking the muslim people? Just don't write cartoons making fun of their leaders. Al Queda is not the only organization that is muslim. We have many allies that are as well. We need to be respectful of each other and their beliefs.

Absolutely. The event on 9/11 was not an end all, but more a preliminary attack on America. For those who think it is over, they are mistaken. Osama bin Laden is not a barking dog with no bite. Though Bush has no economic intelligence in his body, keeping the troops in Iraq has been preventing these extremest groups from striking again.

-http://memriiwmp.org/content... (one example of what is going on)
-http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Progr... (Glenn gives a good overview of what is going on in his "Exposed" specials)

These resources are just an overview of what is happening in the Middle East. We need to do our own research before we come to any conclusions.

What's he got against cartoons. Those must have been some pretty bad cartoons. I like cartoons! My favorite is Bugs Bunny, perhaps we should send him some good Bugs Bunny cartoons. What's up Wabbit? Perhaps he'll calm down a little bit.

No terrorist threat should ever be totally ignored, but it is getting ridiculous, he has threatened just about the entire western world at one time or another in recent times. Some wonder though, like me, if it is actually him or if he is dead, and there are others imitating him in tapes and videos. The whole cartoon thing is ridiculous and to threaten murder because of it is just outrageous. Could you imagine if someone published a derogatory cartoon of Jesus Christ and a Christian group threatened to kill them? It would be interesting to see wouldnt it?

Yes, all threats should be taken seriously, but we need not let these threats keep us living in a cave or determine our day to day joy -- let his butt continue to live in the caves -- we need only be prepared when he shows his ugly mug again -- and he will eventually!

Osama is a terrorist and it would be a mistake to take any threat he makes lightly. If you are not Muslim you are his enemy. Making fun of Muhammad is an insult I would think he takes personally.

Osama bin Laden will always be planning his next strike as long as the US is in Iraq, Afghanistan, or the Arabian Penensula. He made that quite clear when he declared war on the US way back in the 90's.

We should pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and as soon as he moves back into view, go in there and swiftly scatter little chunks of him all over the dessert.

Bin Laden hates Isreal, but other than that, he hates the US more than anyone else. He only threatens any other country based on their alliance with the US.
