Osama Bin Laden condemns EU over Muhammad cartoons. Should this threat be taken seriously?
Great! Just what we needed. A new statement attributed to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden condemns European countries for siding with the United States in Afghanistan and for allowing the publication of cartoons considered insulting to Islam's prophet, Muhammad.

Part of terrorism is to keep you guessing. Our country's biggest mistake was arsing around the mulberry bush instead of sending covert ops to blow this wack job to his band of merry virgins in the hereafter.

I do think he's somewhat losing his touch. We need to be vigilant, but, quite frankly, if he were actually masterminding something specific, some sort of an attack -- we wouldn't have heard a word

Well he has never tangled with a country woman and a gun. Bring him on. He looks like an armpit with eyeballs. I am sure plenty of middle aged menopausal moms like myself would like to stomp the #$%! out of him for what he has done to this country.

Alexis your anger is misplaced it is not UBL fault that our country is in bad shape. You're reading the wrong blogs, if there are real world problems there is only one person to blame, Bush. Come on get on the bandwagon! He's caused all of the problems nobody else is to blame. Right?

I say Osama Bin Laden is dead.
  • raves +1   [-] by Weeda
I wish. The world would be much better off.
  • raves +3   [-] by Mikey3664
I wish too. Clinton had 10 chances to take him out, and Bush had one good chance to take him out right after 9/11. Both presidents didn't because they were too concerned about what the media, scholars, and the international community would think about the US "cowboys" being too trigger happy. Why can't we just get past what everyone else thinks about us and just go in and kick ass when we're attacked?
  • raves     [-] by graymåtter
Maybe kicking the RIGHT ass is more important? Just a thought.

4000 dead American warriors, hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis and Osama bin Laden stilll walks the Earth.

I should've said bin Laden's ass in my post, because that's what I meant. Bin Laden attacked us, we should've killed him immediately after 9/11 when we knew where he was.

Bush spent so much time trying to please and not offend all of the liberals of the world, that he let bin Laden get away. It is just as much the fault of Liberals that bin Laden still walks the Earth.

The reason we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan, (and will be for a long time), is because we're trying to turn it into a democracy. It's a noble idea, but it will never work. Bush deserves a lot of blame for not understanding the Middle East and Muslim history, but don't forget that Clinton didn't get it either. I honestly believe that no one in our government (including all three presidential candidates) don't get it either.

My proposal: Set a date to get out. When that date arrives, get out - bring everyone home. Give bin Laden a couple months to resurface. Kill that Mo Fo. Don't worry about getting the approval of any other country or liberal organization. Don't worry about civilian casualties. Don't worry about destroying the mosque that bin Laden is in when we attack him. Show pictures to the world what happens when you attack America. After bin Laden is dead and gone, get out of Iraq and let them go on with their way of life the way they have been for two thousand years. Change our policies so that we can start drilling for our own oil, and as soon as possible, become totally oil independa...

    Just my opinion.

Good idea Mikey, but the Dems and all their bleeding heart liberal friends would condem to hell anybody who would actually act like a "Man" !!! Bush tried and look what that got him, whining and moaning and groaning from all these whimpy ass coward Americans.........what a shame this country has become so pathetic !
  • raves     [-] by Mikey3664
You're going in the right direction, but you're slightly off. I think most Americans would've elected to go in on 9/12 and scatter bin Laden's body parts all over the desert. Bush spent an entire month after 9/11 trying to get the support of everyone (including Europe) to go into Afghanistan to get bin Laden. Bin Laden didn't attack Europe. He attacked the US. We shouldn't have been concerned about getting the support of Europe. We should've went in immediately to get bin Laden.

Even after getting the support of Europe, most Europeans think that Bush and America are a bunch of trigger happy cowboys. Bin Laden, however, thinks that Bush and Americans are whimps. I don't think our country is pathetic. I think our government elitists (for the last 35 years), in the way they handle foriegn affairs, are pathetic, and it reflects to the world how all Americans are.

The whimpy ass coward Americans you refer to are the Hollywood liberals, special interest groups, and the liberal media. They do not represent the majority of Americans, although they would like you to think that.

I think he is capable of anything. However, hopefully, since he is stupid enough to announce what he is going to do, we will all be alert enough to stop him and his minions. That is the key-not to ever let our guard down. If we do that, we'll be ok.

Remember, there were 8 years between the 1st World Trade Center bombing and 9/11. It takes time to plan those things out.
  • raves +3   [-] by Mikey3664
Between '91 and '96 he bombed two hotels in Yemen targeting American troops. There was an attack against the US military in Riyadh in '95. The Khobar Towers bombing in '95 (also against the US military). The bombing of 2 US Embassies in Africa in '98. The USS Cole in 2000. The WTC bombing in '93. And of course 9/11. Bin Laden has been a busier A-hole than most people remember.

He wont stand and fight till death. He'll run off and hide, wait for things to cool down, then he'll be back.

His last masterpiece was 9/11/2001. I think we should worry about him.
  • raves     [-] by sioux~NObama
That's true, but I was talking about the attacks here. That probably takes more planning because it's so far away and we are looking all the time.

If you are implying Clinton did a bad job, he never just ran away like Reagan pulled all of our troops out of Lebanon when the barracks were hit. That could have emboldened him. There is enough blame to go around. If it had been Bush, he would have bombed Lebanon. If Bush had really been concerned about Bin Laden, he wouldn't have let him go in Tora Bora..
