Great! Just what we needed. A new statement attributed to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden condemns European countries for siding with the United States in Afghanistan and for allowing the publication of cartoons considered insulting to Islam's prophet, Muhammad.

Answered No. Is there any other country Osama hasn't threatened yet?
He's just saber rattling, but most folks with any balls would know he's just crying "Wolf". If the AQ attacks some other country like it did the US, it's more likely to get Europe in an uproar against AQ than bending over to pray and live by the rules of Osama.
Fine print, the resolution of this will only come about when moderate Muslim leaders come out promoting tolerance of cartoons, satire and peaceful coexistence with other religions. -

there is some question as to whether he is dead at the moment. there is still an al qaeda threat out there, and so it needs to be taken seriously. i'm sure there are countries he hasn't threatened yet, just because there are many countries. however, if this is bin laden, then the guy's a hypocrit. his methods are known to be immoral by any standard and he's condemning others for their immorality? the guy's a dangerous wack-job. if he's still alive, then he should be killed - by any means available. he is a danger to everyone. that would not solve the terrorist problem, unfortunately. it would help though. -
Answered Yes. We just never know when he might strike again.
You know, its bad enough when a grown man will strap a bomb to his chest and kill without care, then of course we see they send their wives and children to do the same thing. These animals care about nothing, it seems to me that showing care for their spiritual leader "Muhammad" is just another excuse to kill others. Anything they say or do should cause us to care and think. They have "NEVER" been peaceful, they kill their own and anyone who does not conform to their beliefs is an infidel and deserves to die. Make no mistake, these animals KILL... -
Well, they feed their children propaganda the second they pop out of the womb. That's what makes them so militant in their beliefs as adults. I mean, what if America used that same type of tactic for the military or for education? I wonder where we'd be now?

muhammad "the prophet" islam is way to up tight about there ways, from cartoons to covering their women, and killing them. just need to go back in time to where they came from. I don't have time for this backward thinking in todays world! -
I agree. Why are people provoking the muslim people? Just don't write cartoons making fun of their leaders. Al Queda is not the only organization that is muslim. We have many allies that are as well. We need to be respectful of each other and their beliefs.

Absolutely. The event on 9/11 was not an end all, but more a preliminary attack on America. For those who think it is over, they are mistaken. Osama bin Laden is not a barking dog with no bite. Though Bush has no economic intelligence in his body, keeping the troops in Iraq has been preventing these extremest groups from striking again.

These resources are just an overview of what is happening in the Middle East. We need to do our own research before we come to any conclusions. -

What's he got against cartoons. Those must have been some pretty bad cartoons. I like cartoons! My favorite is Bugs Bunny, perhaps we should send him some good Bugs Bunny cartoons. What's up Wabbit? Perhaps he'll calm down a little bit. -
It's the cartoons posted in the Jyllands-Posten Danish paper. I remember studying it in my Freedom of Speech & the First Amendment communication class. It was QUITE interesting. The artists who drew the drawings had their lives threatened, someone quit their job and the Muslim community in Denmark, of course, were in violent uproar.
My thing is that every other *religion* has been made fun of--at least the major ones/ or the most talked about. Christianity, Mormonism, Buddhism, etc. I mean, if one group can't handle being picked at then they should return to the oppression of their own country.
See Wik Explanation (which is very simple to understand) and you can see the cartoons:

Part of terrorism is to keep you guessing. Our country's biggest mistake was arsing around the mulberry bush instead of sending covert ops to blow this wack job to his band of merry virgins in the hereafter.
