Do you sound smarter than you are, or are you smarter than you sound?

I Think I'm smarter than I sound because I like to joke around a lot, pretend I don't know things when i did, and just kinda be odd. But it does make people underestimate me so when I come out and can tell them off and then point out the right answer and yell at them for being so stupid, it gets the shocked expression I was hoping for. -

i feel i sound really stupid when i talk, i have the annoying habit of saying "like" in sentences where it makes absolutely no sense!!! (and i, like, know that it's, like, really annoying. i, like, hate doing it but, like, it's a habit!! - okay i'm not THAT bad!!)
also i forget words. i know what i want to say but i forget what the word is. i do it when typing too but at least then i can think about it for a while or get a thesaurus. when it happens in conversation it's just embarrassing!! -
Answered I sound smart, and I am smart.
Not conceit, really! I just know that I'm intelligent and I can speak intelligently-my poor children, I was always correcting their grammar....but, I took them to museums, concerts, we listened to all types of music...because I wanted them to be able to speak on any subject around them.
At age three, my son told my mother his Whopper Jr. was exasperating! Guess he sounds smart and is smart also! Both kids have great vocabularies.....that always helps! -

I probably sound smart to some and s-t-u-p-i-d to others, I am just me....I did graduate college does that count for anything....lol
