That's kind of a moving target...what once was concidered rich may now be barely enough. Right now I'm working on my second million...I couldn't make the first one. I plan on retiring in less than 10 years and will retire with a total close to a million and I'm not sure that will get me by since I plan on living until I'm about 110...LOL. Seriously, with insurance and health care who really knows. I'm rich, because I have a great family and friends to live my life with. -

This relates directly to my poll, "How much is enough?".
The idea behind it is that it's all a comparative concept. Wealth is related to the next guy. The dems and the IRS say I'm rich, but I'll assure you that I am not. My boss is quite wealthy, but there are many who are much better off than he.
In truth, I'm satisfied with what I got now. I make seven figures every x years. I live comfortably. I don't need anything more. -
10% to God
10% to my Nation
10% into Stocks
10% into Bank
10% to my State
10% to my County
Pay off debts of parents and grandparents.
Buy land and home--with a porch so Mom doesn't complain--for them to live near me so that we can be there for each other.
Get laser-eye surgery for any of us with bad eyesight. Have my hand looked at by a doctor.
Go to college constantly and pay for my parents, grandparents and brothers too.
Buy an American car that is good on gas.
Take each of my parents and grandparents on the one thing they've wanted to do more than anything.
Buy grandpa a huge chicken pin and a building to keep his flying birds.
Get a huge pool.
Adopt two new dogs from pound...maybe more. Maybe a new cat too.
Buy LOTS of books, two new computers--so they'll stop using my laptop!--a class ring, a bike...
So yeah, I'd do plenty for myself, but only after doing those first things. -

If I'm gonna be rich, I want to be filthy rich!
