of course we are LOL. I am an atheist and I believe that I can get through each day being civil to people, helping those that may need it if I can. And I play a fiddle about 4 times a week on average at local nursing homes as a volunteer. It's not my job to shove atheism down your throat, and I won't accept your views shoved at me. I try never to trivialize people, their beliefs or their life styles. I repect what others believe but find that religious people, mostly Christians, often can not, or will not return the courtesy. And I am able to do all of this because I WANT to not because I am supposed to believe in rewards or punishments after death. -

I do not see what would make an Atheist immoral. Just because they dont believe in a higher power does not make them a bad person. Honestly I think that means they are a more moral person (( In some cases)) Why? Because they do not need the threat of "God" to make them do the right thing. They do not need the fear of hell to make them not murder or steal from others, they just dont do it because they know it is wrong, and like to be a good person, not because some book said that they will burn if they do. -
Nope not could, would. When a person is their own judge of morality then they will naturaly choose that no matter what act they do is then moral not immoral. You think people like Hitler thought themselves immoral?
It's only when there is a never changing outside source of morality that anyone can then be judged as immoral. In the human race that source is religion.

There are plenty of immoral "christians". While religion tries to teach morality, it can not dictate a persons actions. Morality is a code of ethics, and ethics and religion are not mutually exclusive.
