Where do you think is a good place to get an "In Loving Memory" tattoo?

I've always wanted to get a tattoo for my Dad since he passed away when I was younger. I have in my mind what I want already, but I would like your opinions about an appropriate place to get it. I don't want it somewhere where people can see it all that time; my goal is to get something that is easily covered up. What do you think!?

Owwwwww, I know how you feel, I miss my mom so much, but man, I think a tattoo must hurt. If you were to get one, I guess you could put it on your belly, or somewhere that does not show all the time. The only reason I say this is because I know many people that have gotten them and regret where they got them. Like the arm, leg, etc. Good luck deciding and I am sorry for your loss.

    Answered I don't have a clue, I would never get a tattoo!

You will be sorry if you get a tattoo when you are older and the thing all wrinkles up......And yeah, you will get older.

Oh yeah, I thought that I would never get older. Thanks for informing me.

not alwoed to have one and doubt you are 100 years old
  • raves     [-] by gorgeous.tragedy
Are you saying I'm not allowed to have one, or that you aren't?

The question was about the placement of my tattoo not you getting one. And you're pretty much a genius doubting that I'm not 100 years old.

On the left side of your body (close to your heart).
  • raves     [-] by gorgeous.tragedy
    That's some great logic!

Someone else put that I should put it on my back because my Dad will "always have my back"... I like clever stuff like that, thanks!

I have the hardest time figuring out where I want to get any tattoo. I'm getting one for my son after he's born and I have no clue where to put it.

I am getting one on my arm, on the inside. The forearm that is. In plain view. :) And then I'm getting Kat Von Dee to do a portrait on my calf. :) It's gonna be way cool.
  • raves +1   [-] by gorgeous.tragedy
That sounds absolutely amazing! Do show pictures when you get them done!

Ohh! I love LA Ink! Are you going to be on the show? If so you have to let me know so I can watch it!
  • raves +1   [-] by Kayleigh
LoL I'm not even sure. The waiting list for her is WAY long. And it's $250 an hour about. But yeah, I'll let you know. I am going to LA in a couple weeks, so it won't be then. Too soon. But I am going to get one while I'm there and I'll post.
  • raves +1   [-] by Chris [Ninja]™
But don't post the Lucky You one... Because you'll probably get kicked off the site ;-)

  • raves +2   [-] by Chris [Ninja]™
I should get one like that! Except, mine would say, "Thank you."

    Answered I don't have a clue, I would never get a tattoo!

I think it depends on how big it is and what it is and how many other tattoos you have and where they are...
  • raves +1   [-] by Chris [Ninja]™
I didn't see the "I would never get a tattoo!" I should have picked undecided!
  • raves +1   [-] by gorgeous.tragedy
I wondered about that, do you have any?
  • raves +1   [-] by Chris [Ninja]™
Nope... no tats... I wouldn't be opposed to getting one... I just don't have anything that I could think that I would want to get on my body for the rest of my life. I get freaked out by permanent! I have an art degree and I'm a bit of a designer, so there have been times when I've drawn up a tattoo and thought, "Oh man! I'm so getting this." then I look at it a few weeks later and am like, "Oh man! I'm so glad I didn't get that." Whatever I think is cool now I always change my mind! But if I had a family member die, I totally would get a memory tattoo, because it's sooo meaningful! I'm sad to hear about your Dad :-(
  • raves +1   [-] by gorgeous.tragedy
That's how I've been for the longest time, and that is why I've only decided to get this one, because I know that I won't regret it, I just can't make my mind up about anything else! Don't be sad, everything happens for one reason or the other and I wouldn't be ther person I am today if it hadn't! (how's that for looking on the bright side!) But thank you none the less! <3
