Answered The World I Know
Well I see the Twin Towers in the background of the video and I can relate to 911 as everyone else can. I'm originally from NY and I used to work in the Twin Towers. Friends of the family were lost in that tragedy as well as affected by it. Alot of good people were lost. -
Answered Shine
I've been a fan ever since the first time I heard "Shine" on the
radio in the summer of 1994. I love each of these songs for different
reasons, but "Shine" edges out "Precious Declaration" in a close call.
Ultimately, "Shine" came first, and introduced me to a great band.
Can't wait to hear the new album! -
Answered Shine
This is where it all started for me...Bought Hints Allegations & Things Left Unsaid solely for Shine & immediately fell in love with the whole album (except for the Pretty Donna track) Had the pleasure of seeing Colective Soul at La Luna in Portland, OR. Its a small venue & the band was ON FIRE...I'm talking near studio quality sound the whole show. Most amazing live concert I've ever seen & I've seen lots of concerts! -
Answered Heavy
I chose Heavy because no matter what my mood, it can always get me going and by the end of the song I am again happy and singing. I have not found a CS sound I do not like. They all have a different meaning in my life. I only wish they would tour in my area...they have been on my "#1 band I would like to see" list forever! -
Answered The World I Know
The World I Know has influenced me the most because, aside from the fact that it is an absolutely beautiful song, it reminds me, every time I hear it, that the world is sick, but not hopeless, and that love and genuine compassion are the only cures. I love Collective Soul for helping me to see that. Thanks guys. -

This song allowed me to step out of what was happening to me as a kid and sort of stand above it as if to say I would eventually fing a sort of salvation that would free me from the endless damage I was facing. You guys really saved my soul.
Answered Undecided
My best friend and I loved CS and of course I still do. We had many great moments together when it came to CS, listening to them, seeing them in concert whenever they were in the area. At one point we saw them in concert in our area and then 2 days later we found out they were playing in NC that night so at the last minute we decided to take a little road trip. We made it there just in time and were lucky they still had tickets left ,and of course we didnt make it back in time for me to be at work by 5am the next day, but oh well. I had to call out of work saying i was sick from a payphone at some gas station(i didnt have my cell with me) lol We had many good times with CS. Her life ended about 17 months ago and everytime I hear a CS song I think about all these great times we shared together. And I can thank CS for that.
