But I do love seeing the celebration from Hillary supporters the last few days! And though the Obama crew isn't too desperate, yet, I am seeing a lot of acting out from badly-disguised fear. lol And I think that will only get worse! :)

Oh, I see, you posted this when you were feeling over confident, before Obama put his foot in his mouth.... again. I'm not a part of a 'hit mob', but I do support Hillary Clinton for president and I feel anything but desperate! ...especially with Obama and Rev. Wright working diligently to destroy Obama's credibility!

Why have you changed your mind, Trinity? You have been so against Hillary Clinton - you've even told me in other polls how much you "hate" her. I thought you'd be one of the last people to ever vote for her.

I still dont like her but I'm thinking Obama would be worse for the country. The more that comes out about him the more he scares me.

I watched her on the factor the other night and she did a good job.

The truth will set you free Trinity! How can anyone with an conscience vote for someone who has literally used the word of God & the 10 commandments as toilet paper? By far, the Clinton's are murderers! Here is a partial List from US Intelligent Agents who will testify with evidence of Hillary and Bill Clinton's murders (excluding the murder of JFK Junior). In contrast, this list makes Charlie Manson rap sheet look like child’s play! This is just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many "friends" of the Clintons .

Although I am absolutely committed to Barack Obama, I don't really believe that the majority of those who support Hillary are desperate.

However, I do think they completely underestimate the strength of Barack Obama. I have noticed that many of her supporters generalize about him, calling him a liar, a weak candidate, a racist, and so forth. They obviously do not know him, listen to him infrequently and are being fed a constant image of an unelectable candidate. Personally, I think it's kind of sad, because they merely reflect what the Clinton campaign and the radical right are promulgating.

One thing which is an indication of this is their constant characterization of us as "Obamamites," and other such denegrating terms. And it is rather childish to hear them talk about us "drinking the kool-aid," recalling, of course, Jonestown. Really silly. Rather than deal with issues, they resort to name-calling and insults both of Barack Obama and of us, who support him. This is unfortunate, but it's really a small number of people.

Regardless of what they say, I believe the actual elections in the next few primaries will demonstrate to them the strength of Barack Obama. And I don't think we should rub it in their faces. They sincerely support Hillary, and are very dedicated to her. And they are our fellow Democrats.

He may win - maybe it's even probable - but I wouldn't count Hillary Clinton out just yet.
I don't think the Clinton campaign has made Obama look bad. In fact, with few exceptions, I believe Hillary Clinton has been pretty restrained. She has been handed Wright on a silver platter and even tonight, when Bill O'Reilly tried to get her to jump on him, she wouldn't. She did say she wouldn't attend Wright's church for 20 years - well, neither would I - but she said the voters need to decide on the issue. And she's right.
In another poll, DeacMeister, you spoke about Hillary Clinton coming to your area and speaking only to about 1,000 people when Obama spoke to a crowd (I believe) of about 18,000. Maybe that's true (and I have no reason to doubt you), but if so - why isn't he way ahead of her? Why doesn't he have this nomination sewn up?
I think the answer is this - and of course it's only my opinion: he's a compelling and talented speaker, he knew what people wanted to hear, but the fact of the matter is he doesn't fulfill his "promise" - that he is change and hope. I don't see much change and, unfortunately for him it's turning out that he looks a lot like every other politician, as Jeremiah Wright said.
Again, you may be correct that he'll get the nomination. If he does, I hope for your sake he can beat McCain, which I really, really doubt, or it's the Republicans who will be having the last laugh.
As for rubbing it in our faces if he wins - that's okay, rub ahead -...

  • raves +2   [-] by DeacMeister
Well, traci, I consider you a friend, and as I hope you know, I respect you and your perceptions. I was not writing to you, personally, but answering the poll as best I could.

One thing that is problematic for me is that Hillary actually went on Bill O'Reilly's show. He is a right wing radical mouthpiece, and she KNEW that he would bring up Rev. Wright because that is almost all that Fox "News" talks about. She took the opportunity to continue to undermine Senator Obama, and I don't really think she's being restrained. Sorry to disagree with you on that one.

In regard to sewing up the nomination, I think he will, very soon. I know that the numbers of involved people in my area of Indiana are not represented well in the polls.

And, finally, I have absolutely no desire to rub anything in your face. I'm not trying to be arrogant about this. I simply believe - as you believe about your candidate - that my candidate is best to lead the country. However, if Hillary wins the nomination, I will definitely vote for her. I am a Democrat through and through, and although I have a lot of reservations about Hillary, she is a much better choice than McCain.
  • raves +2   [-] by traci - PUMA
Hi, Deac. I too consider you a friend, and I respect your opinion as well. I don't think you'd ever rub it in my face - that's not your way, and I know your belief in Barack Obama is heartfelt and well thought out.

In this instance, I wish I could agree with you, I wish I could feel that if he gets the nomination (and, let's face it - that's a very real possibility, if not a probability) I could feel good voting for this man. I've tried. You don't know how much time I've spent trying to find things that could make me believe that he would be the right person for the job. I just can't do it. Maybe in time I might change my mind, but not this election.

Frankly, I don't know what to do. I don't want McCain. At one time I admired him because he stood against the "pack" in the Republican party, but he seems to have sold out. Nader is a wasted vote. Where does that leave me? I've never been a party-line type of person. I've always voted my conscience and for who I thought was the best person. If Hillary Clinton doesn't get the nomination, basically I feel that I'm stuck in a no man's land, and it disturbs me to no end.

One thing's for certain - I hope for both of us - whenever this is over, however it pans out, we're still friends.
  • raves +2   [-] by DeacMeister
In regard to your vote, traci, just follow your conscience. This is a tough election for all of us Democrats. In the heat of the election process, I can become kind of defensive, but it never gets so bad that I become hateful.

So, you can count on the fact that we will be friends, regardless of what happens. You are a very sincere and thoughtful person. The kind of person that I truly esteem and enjoy.

Thank you for the note. I'm sorry you are struggling with this. I know it is extremely important because this election is crucial. And your choices are difficult. I've been praying about this election for quite a while, and I'll pray for you, too.
