I have played them all ad nothing melts face like my dean vendetta IV. i had to make a choice between my dean and a 1600 dollar jackson soloist and to make a long story shor... i no have 2 dean electric's, and 1 acoustic-electric. Also my 7 year old has started playing wth a dean acoustic and i'm looking for his first electric and my 6 Year old daughter is getting the pink dean acoustic for her birthday next month.
Oh, i have ibanez, fender, jackson, washburn, and have played it all including PRS, G&L, and gibson. Still i'd take a soltero -

dean guitars kick ass... i have my wings.. i got a dean razorback and it makes me feel like a guitar god. i have 1 jackson V, 1 ibanez 7 string and 2 gibson LPs and none of them have ever sounded as awsome as my razorback.
my razorback is better then art in musical form and in looks.. the best thing with the razorback is its a guitar thats got everything you could ever want in a guitar. great sound, great looks and great playability... dean guitars are like the god + godess of all guitars..

Bah, no Gibson listed as a main option. Gibson explorers = sonic destruction. I have two now, they are both the best playing, most solid sounding guitars on the planet. The 500T is an amazing pickup as well. Not to mention the body style on these badies is both as classic as you can get (as far as metal guitars go, but hey, the Edge likes them too!) and so well balanced you don't even notice you've got it strapped on. Coming in at number to for me would be Schecters. Love my custom C1. -

Dean are hands down the greatest guitars on this planet, and this is from someone who sits in his local guitar shop playing ALOT of guitars
The list of guitar legends who play/have played dean is endless and all you have to say is "dimebag darrel" and you no you cant go wrong
I am personally about to start a job which i dont even want and has hours meaning ill not see my friends that much just to save up for a dean because i beleive its a guitar worth the effort
wouldnt dream of picking up anything else

i would have to say my guitar of choice would be a Gibson mainly because they play amazingly well. they have a nice sound and the action on strings is excellent. but for right now i have an ibanez. they would be my second choice
