one of the things that concerns me about young people dating is the maturity level of the people involved. i think youre better off dating from among your peers rather than somebody that is substantially older than yourself, so you dont get taken advantage of by guys that are in it strictly for the possibility of sex... -

Well...lol..my husband is 5 years older than I am. When we met I was 15 and he was 19, about to turn 20, and NOW I realize that he was way to old for me lol but we've been together for 6 years, and back then it didn't really feel like any age difference...I would probably have a problem with my daughter dating a guy that much older than her -

Doesn't really matter except when thinking about dying. Each is going to have problems, But except for your inner circle who is really going to leave their shell to even notice or comment? People are too tied up into "me" to worry long about anything like that. -

Love of course but even more, to me, is friendship. loyality, what else (sounds like a badge for scouting). If you're mature enough to see these things and many aren't that still make it together. point is, it's happened before.

Teens should not *date*. I mean sure as a group of friends go out and enjoy a wholesome movie or go to the United Dairy Farmers for a soda or an ice cream. Church dances too but as a individual boy/girl date? No. They need to mature as individuals, become adults, look to service in church and then as they finish their education they can start seeking a propeer decent mate. -

Wait till you are older. My daughter couldn't date until she was 16 - and then it was only double dates allowed. When you're younger than 18 and the boy is older than 18, there are serious legal problems that could develop. BTW. She is now 18 and has had a boyfriend (the same age) for about half a year now.

I'm dating someone almost 2 years older than me at the moment, and although we both care for each other very much, the age difference is turning out to be a problem. I'm still in high school, and he's leaving for the navy soon.
