Windows XP going off market in June: Which operating system will you switch to?
Microsoft announced over a year ago that Windows XP would be going off the market in January 2008. XP was later given a brief stay of execution, to June 30, 2008. Your copy of XP will work for at least six more years, but new software and peripherals are likely to stop working with XP.-

Answered OS X. Seems like a good time to try a Mac.
I love my Mac.. I made the switch back in June of 06. At first I didn't want to, I loved the Windows cool aide but now I love it! I use it for development too and it's great, super fast and I love being able to use the unix shell. -

I think all my primary machines are going to be Macs from here on out. Maybe Ubuntu for secondary boxes; it's not perfect but it's definitely made Linux more usable for daily tasks like web access and email. -

Answered I'll stick with XP until it no longer works.
I'm not happy with Microsoft's decision - especially with all of the bad PR for Vista. I like XP and I'll hang with it while I check out other operating systems. I have too many programs I use on an almost daily basis that are not compatable with Vista. -

I can't see scrapping a perfectly fine operating system and buying another just to increase Microsoft's sales. When I have no option then I will switch.
