Most of the time,I think that it is just for attention, and that is fine, if it makes you feel better to be told your not fat.
But It gets annoying because other people get offended when people who are dead skinny say they are fat, in front of people who aren't so skinny -

Great question!!! Yes I most certainly do!! I work with a woman who obviously has a great figure, nice and trim and she constantly asks if she is too fat, does she need to go on a diet, how does she look, etc... We think it is nauseating and that she is only trying to get attention. And she says, so and so just told me I have great legs or whatever. Yeah, I guess I am sick of it. What would you say to her? -

Well, it depends. People get pissed at me when I say I need to exercise. They say I am skinny enough and I have to reply back saying that I know I am fraken skinny, but that is not the only reason why people exercise. I exercise to get fit.
Skinny does not equal healthy. I am damn skinny and my ass is still damn flabby (ask my husband, he knows and he doesn't have a problem discussing my flabby ass)
People shouldn't focus so much on weight either, they need to focus more on inches, on how tone their body is, and how they feel. Muscles weigh more than fat so focusing on weight is a bad idea in my opinion. -
Another thing that people need to realize is that not all skinny feel gifted. It is hard for some of to maintain a healthy weight which is a huge health problem. I'd rather be slighty overweight than underweight. Underweight people suffer from quite bit of organ damage. I don't know what the stats are compared to those who are slightly overweight.
