Should people be licensed to procreate? If not, why not?!
I say license to drive...license to procreate!Children are a blessing from "God", but if you are required to have a license to drive, why would you not be required to have a license to have children?. Sex is easy, most anyone can do it, but what about the consequences????.
This post has nothing to do with the NWO, or the population control agenda of any group.
It is just a personal thought...

There are too many stupid people breeding. They can't take care of the kids or afford the kids that they have. It's ruining the gene pool and society! Why does eveyone think that they need to have kids. We have too many people in this world already. I made a smart decision to not have kids. I can't afford them, and I don't have the time or the patience to take care of them. However, I work in social services with kids in foster care. Everyday, I see the result of breeders that can't or won't take care of their kids. Its not pretty. These kids are fucked up. I love the kids that I work with, and they are good kids. But, their lives have been tragic. I say yes to a license to breed. I wish everyone was on birth control until they could prove to the state that they would make good parents. -

Yes, unfortunately people are not always equipped to be a parent. A baby shouldn't live a life of pain and punishment just because their parents were irresponsible. I also think that teens should have some sort of restrictions on sex. I know that this will never happen, but it would really help. I know that there are 16 year olds that turn out to be great parents, but there are so many that aren't, and again, it is unfair to the baby. -

I dont want to goverment creating another agency or in our bedrooms.It is a shame the most difficult time consuming job in the world and any dumbass can do it. I did not say they do it right. I dont know what the right answer, other than PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY! -
I want to agree with you, but I dont want any more goverment. I think we have to much now. It all goes back to the idea of nothing is wrong in our society and if you say it is, your a racist, hate monger. We cant even make people use Birth control. But the goverment pays to kill the baby.

Consider who would determine the 'valid' 'reasons' and 'maturity' for procreating. ?
Would 'religion' or 'income' become a criteria?
These and other questions would place 'me' or someone else in the 'position' of 'playing' Creator. I am not worthy to judge that for anyone. -

I am unsure as to how we would do this, but we could start by enforcing some sort of mandatory parenting classes or workshops, especialy now when a lot of families dont have role models to pass down these valued skills. Welfare should also be designed different. My friend from Australia says that the system there pays for people to get an education, so they could aquire skills to find jobs to get people on their feet and provide for their families themseves. Then they dont have to rely on the system for a lengthy period of time. The system here seems to only further the problem and weaken the people by making a person dependant upon the system. Would they not be happy if they were more self reliant creating a much more stronger family unit? People need help now and then and to me that is ok, but to heavily rely on someone else without trying to find the means themselves, just breeds unhappy people thus creating unhappy children and abuse and stupidity.

I have felt this way for a long time.. Heck yes, My sister in law included- She has her baby's and after they turn about a year olds she just gives them away to family or her cloest friend.. which have 2 of her 5 kid's..We had one of her kid's for a little over a year...

actually i think some countries do have limits so why couldnt ya enforce it here...too many welfare babies that we tax payers support...so some fat ass mother can sit on her butt all day and do nothin but collect a check throw the kid outside in some project and then say what my kids in jail for murder...how could that happen?

There are too many "adults" who are still children themselves having children. Have all the sex you want, but but either use a rubber or the pill - if you don't know how to parent or don't care, don't have children. There are far too many "baby's momma's and baby daddy's" who out there as it is. -

I am often appalled by parents these days. From the lack of discipline to severe abuse, to feeding them candy all day & allowing Playstation to be there only form of exercise.
I think before anyone graduates high school they should be required to not only be able to balance a checkbook & set up a budget, but prove the basic abilities to be a decent parent or at least know where to turn if they are falling short. In Britain they have Social Workers who are assigned a child at birth (all babies have them) who drop in to see the childs progress - & the status of the home/parents. While it is a bit intrusive, they do NOT have the problems we do.
A girl in my complex just got her newborn & 1 year old taken away because she was doing hard drugs while she was pregnant & her Boyfriend was selling them! Why wasn't this discovered before they poisioned the babies??? If I had known I might have done something, at least the whole preaching thing... -

Hell yes they should. Some people are not equipped emotionally or financially to have and raise a baby. Why should a child suffer because her dad makes $20,000 a year and there are 6 kids at home? It will never happen, but it really should. It would also hopefully dramatically reduce the number of pregnant teens and abortions. If you really want a baby, you get your license. People who adopt have to be approved. Why should a homeless woman get to have a baby whenever she wants when a perfectly stable family has to be approved to have a baby just because there is something in their body that is preventing them from having children? I think if this ever worked it would greatly reduce many of the problems that children today have to deal with that they really shouldn't have to. -

There are some that abuse the system, and I as a taxpayer am tired of paying for it. Some just make babies to milk the welfare system. If you are on welfare for a long period of time and not working to get off it and already have 2 children, I say sterilize them.
