If you've seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, did you like it?

I made the mistake of re-reading the book the week before the movie came out. I should have known better. It just seemed like the movie jumped from one thing to another without having the appeal of the book. What did you think?

My girlfriend preferred the book though. But since I haven't read it yet, I thought the movie itself was pretty good.

The book is my favorite of all seven. A lot of people didn't like it because they thought Harry was too "whiny", but the book went in to detail about a lot of the supporting characters, especially Ron, and all that was tossed from the movie. Such a shame. And the scene were Fred and George leave the school was my favorite part of the book, and it was really deflated in the movie.

I didn't think that Harry was whiny. He had reason to be angry. Besides, he's a teenager. He's supposed to be angst-ridden at this time in his life.

No, I meant in the book. He definitely was nowhere near as angsty in the movie as he was in the book. But that's what I liked about the book -- he was 13/14, he was SUPPOSED to be all angry for no reason.

EXACTLY! The Fred & George thing was my favorite too.
