What's Bubbling in Your Head?
-
Answered Yes
I like interacting with people who've got an accent from nowhere near we happen to be at the time. It assures me that they've at least experienced more of the world than their own backyards. This breeds at least a little culture and wisdom.
But, of course, some of them can still be complete idiots. -

Hello everyone! New here, Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in. I was raised in Southern AZ, so I tend to have a Spanish accent. Although I find that I tend to pick up the accent of whoever I am speaking with. I don't think it is indicative of ones intelligence, merely a by-product of your environment.
Would you guys/gals agree? -
Answered Yes
at first. there are certain accents that i hear and i make assumptions but i am old enough to know better. i have heard some highly intelligent conversations and presentations from people whose second language is English. I have heard awful presentations from 'native' speakers of English. -

I'm going to have to be the lone wolf on this... I think subconsciously we do just a little bit, because we associate communication ability with intelligence often times. When people don't speak clearly (In our perception) I think we tend to secretly doubt them a little... -
