You bet I'm participating! I figured if I boycotted today Exxon's profits would fall to $10,999,999,996.39! If I boycott 30,555,555 days their profits will be zero! I'm in this for the long haul!

So you buy gas the day before or the day after, what difference does that make to anyone? It's still the same amount of gas sold.

Filled up the other day, so I'm good for a while...should be more than just 1 day, to actually make a difference...but at least it's something...

    It serves no purpose.

What EVERYONE should be doing is changing their wasteful, entitled-to-cheap-energy attitudes. We, as the American society, need to quit acting like the problem is the supplier.

The problem is the consumer and the fact that a huge number of Americans have no clue or don't care that they are sucking energy like a black hole sucks matter.

People are still buying Hummers to parade around the CITY. People are still keeping their thermostats on COLD when they are out. People are CONSUMING and THROWING AWAY plastic products (petroleum products all of them) like there is no tomorrow, leaving all their lights on, washing half-full loads of dishes/cloths, running water down the drain for nothing.

It's time to be conscious of the energy individuals are wasting. Demand commonly drives supply. Reduce demand PERMANENTLY rather than for one day, and you will ultimately be able to affect not only the price, but the results of such wasteful lifestyles.

this boycott doesn't make any difference, neither does calling your state representives to complain about the taxes you pay at the pump but, you have a better chance of being heard.

But if you're going to do it, do it right. Tell them to vote FOR using our own resources.
